I have the same problem on my Hyundai Accent sometimes with a misfire I went to junk yard and picked up 8 used coil packs for about $80.00 these things go bad fast I got all OEM ones the after market ones are even worse. When changing them I would suggest putting some dielectric grease on the spark plug and the end of the coil to make sure you got good contact for the coil pack. Also if the light is flashing don't run the car too long with it flashing because you are not burning fuel in the cylinder that is not firing and liquid gas is getting down into the catalytic converter and you don't want to burn up the catalytic converter that's a huge cost!

Probably oil running past the valve cover gaskets sealing the coil packs. I've had to replace mine twice. it's a design flaw with this engine.
@goldhunter96414 жыл бұрын
A misfiring cylinder ran for a long period of time will eventually destroy the catalytic converter on the inside causing the honeycomb to break down and crumble and it will sound like glass or gravel sliding through a metal pipe every so often and it will go back as far as the muffler and start blocking off the exhaust to the point the car loses all of its power starts burning tremendously more gas and then it'll get to the point of not even starting and just crank over and that's all but a misfiring cylinder will wash the cylinder out as well causing damage to the engine but the O2 sensor requires a 7/8 deep well O2 sensor socket with the medium and larger notch along the side of it and those are something like I was saying earlier, that will not generally go bad anyway..

I've got the same model 2010 accent gls and if it's not requiring a new crank sensor every 3 months then it's always number one and or two coil packs needing replaced about every 4 to 6 months but whatever is causing it, is a mystery to me and never again will I ever have anything else named Hyundai.... Most of the time it's it's number 1 coil pack or a crank sensor plus these cars are terrible for failing catalytic converters that will literally crumble up drop down into the exhaust back to the resonator that's about under the passenger seat area and clog it up but you will still fill some exhaust coming out the tailpipe and the first thing that happens, is the bottom of the engine Shield that's made of black plastic that normally creates a hell of a mess when changing oil that will start melting and falling apart actually will drip it gets so hot from the stopped up converter well stop the exhaust from the converter causing it but if that happens Take It Off beat the guts out of the inside of it and put it right back on and the same with the resonator and you're good as new

I swear this is my car in this video because mine has the same damn squeaking belt and it's the AC compressor belt which naturally is the hardest one to get to on these cars and I I recharged my Freon and this quick stopped because it was low on freon but I also had a squeaking belt that was power steering which was a grooved belt because it had stretched and I replaced it but you will see that belt moving up and down a lot on the power steering when it starts getting bad looks like it's going to jump off or the pulley is warped with the way it moves so much when they stretch out
@salvadorabundez59772 жыл бұрын
Does anyone knows how pounds of pressure on the bolt that tighten the pulley on the go on crank shaft thanks

This exact thing is happening with mine right now. I’m hoping this works and I’m going to try it tomorrow. I just hit 110,000 miles so I’m just going to swap all four plugs and all four cylinders since it probably needs it anyway. I’ll let you know how it turns out!

Devon Trube how did that work out? I did the same thing and my check engine light came back on a month later with the same diagnosis
@Moundhousedude5 жыл бұрын
Daniel Squad it worked out great! My spark plugs definitely needed to be replaced and once I swapped those out the light went away and it’s been running perfectly since. I was ready to replace the plugs and coils but I only needed to replace the plugs. All told, I spent maybe $20 USD and took about an hour out of my day to fix it.

It very well could be. Both Coils are bad. If you can move coils too 1 and 4 And see if the misfire follows you.

I put new spark plugs and new coils in my 2009 Hyundai Accent month later same cylinder misfire is happening P0304
@cheaphomesteading5 жыл бұрын
I would move the coil to another cylinder and see if it repeatedly goes back to that cylinder with the misfire. If so you’ll have to find out if it gets its signal from the ECU may be your ECU is bad. I’ve never had that so I don’t know. Normally the coil and spark plug fix it up

i guess missfire on hyundai accent is a common problem. I am having this kind of issue on my accent too @7500 km. BTW, for everyone reading this. Check engine flashes for a couple of times on my car then it disappear, it never shows the same error again. Anyone experienced this kind of trouble?

@cheaphomesteading5 жыл бұрын
If the misfire moves you can deduce that it’s the coil. If it stays in that cylinder it could be the wiring to the coil or bad compression. At that point I would do a compression test. Thanks for watching man
