I had a pretty similar looking one with a bit more power, voltmeter etc. Man that was a problematic machine! Never started without starting spray even though everything was cleaned and fresh gas filled, very heavy to start, wouldn't run for long... gave it away for free as a "project". Maybe the switch was the problem but I bet there were other issues as well.

You have to remove face plate to access carburetor and clean allriface

What do we need the switch for? Stop the engine by closing the fuel petcock.
