Where can i order some spare parts for example the main amplifier board of this model?

Thanks a lot! My Stanmore 1 powers up and connects to Bluetooth but there is no audio, even not when I send music through the input through cable. Strangely, when I switch it off the led remains on. Any idea where to start?

That sounds like an issue with the amplifier. I would start looking in that area. Might be a blown transistor or mosfet in the amp.

Nice work! Seems you would benefit from a higher solder iron temperature, especially when desoldering the big buffer cap, also when using solder braid. Either a tip with more thermal mass, or an iron with better temp control

Yes, I could have turned up the heat a bit more for those.

where are you located...I have 2 of these that both need repair!

I'm located in Belgium, but I don't do assignments. Also, the speaker in this video broke down again after a couple months of use. I'm working on a followup video.

@@retro_tech thanks for getting back to me. it really makes me hesitant to buy another ...seems like such a waste of a beautiful thing | someone should tell Marshall.

Do you solder with leaded or lead free?
@retro_tech8 ай бұрын
In this video I used leaded solder (except for the paste, which was lead free).

Great video. Gives me hope. I have the same speaker and it’s been out of commission for a while. I’m going to attempt to fix it like on your video. Wish me luck🤞🏼.

Good luck!

@@retro_techOMG I just found this video. Seems like you’re in the EU and not stateside else I’d beg you to take on mine as a project to fix and I’d pay you for your time. It’s been sitting in its box in the garage for three years now but I refuse to throw it out because I know somehow there’s a way to fix it. I don’t know how to do any of this stuff. Can I PayPal you $50 just for your time to maybe help me find someone qualified in my area (California, Bay Area) that is qualified to do something like this based off your vid and parts list? I refuse to scrap this thing I loved it.

@@Disceomn3s The owner of the speaker recently informed me that it broke down again. So it will be back on my bench soon... Could be that I made a mistake during the repair, we'll have to see. So, the part list in the description is quite preliminary at the moment. I wouldn't mind helping you, but I don't have any contacts in your area. In any case, anyone with the skills to do SMD soldering should be able to fix this. Good luck.

@@retro_techdo you plan to do a follow up? Maybe making sure it’s fixed for good, lol. I’ve been waiting 4 years but I have no problem waiting another few months while you see if you can fully fix it.

@@Disceomn3s Yes, I will probably do a followup

Did you clean the flux off the bottom of the PCB after repair?

It's Chipquick no-clean flux

Hi! Maybe you have this speaker software? My speaker wont turn on, i think it is software damage 🤦♂️
@retro_tech7 ай бұрын
No I don't have the software and I seriously doubt that would be the issue.
