While I like the colours individually, I think they do not go well together. But hey, everyone else seems to like it, so who am I to argue? :)

I say that the colors work to accent the flow between the two haves. look at about 1:38 in the video when you are adding some glue. on the lower left side the darker grain just calls for you to follow the wave even more with that straight line running through it. I like it.

wow awesome! two questions: 1) why did you insert the new piece instead of just cutting and then regluing the two halves? (probably a n00b question I know...) 2) what kind of hand saw is that? looks cool thanks!

Thank you. It was a design choice to add an accent piece. The saw is a Japanese hand saw that is readily available at woodworking stores. It has cross-cut teeth on one edge and rip teeth on the other.

Woah woah woah...2 videos in the same day?! You are making the rest of us KZbinrs look bad! Though since it's been about 4 months since my last post, perhaps I'm just a slacker. Nice fix! I am enjoying this series of videos, fixing issues in projects. Nicely done once again!

I'd be a little mad if I got my bowl back from the repair shop with a big contrasting racing stripe down the middle. I guess you have to do your wooden bowl repair shop homework. Can't just take 'em anywhere anymore.
