hi!! when i was making the magic ring and ive pulled the string, it isn't budging or forming a circle? any tips??

Hi! It’s possible your tension/stitches are too tight, that’s the main thing I can think of. I also just released a more in depth video of how to make a magic ring, that might be more helpful than the one in this video. But I would say try making your stitches a little bit looser and let me know if that helps!

Omg the Kmart instructions never specified what hook size to use and since I used ‘4’ now there isn’t enough green yarn to do the tail and other things 😭😭 wish I had checked this first

Have tried this Kmart pattern for my very first time crocheting. 😅 After two days and multiple various KZbin videos like this one (the instructions that came with the kit are *terrible*), on how to make the magic ring, and how to increase and decrease stitches, I feel like I've gotten a pretty thorough crash course on crocheting rounds. 😂 The only thing I can't deal with is having enough yarn because mine from the kit ran out before I could reach the half-way point of the lower body. I'm now contemplating whether to undo it all and make it all smaller or just buy more yarn and start fresh. 🤦‍♀️

I didn’t realise until I started editing 🥲 but I’m working on improvements so this hopefully will no longer be an issue in future vids! As for remaking I hope to do it one day but for now I am planning on making a smaller version of the Dino and making a step by step for that

@@strawberriesandstitches I’ve since done a tutorial for the peapod. The instructions were just as terrible as the dinosaur! I suspect they’re all pretty bad. Hi so sorry! This was my first video and I didn’t have the proper set up and didn’t realise how many times I went off frame until editing 😅 but the round you’re stuck on is all increases, and an increase is just two single crochets into the stitch. I don’t have a video on increases yet but I explain it in my Llama video starting at 2:27, hopefully it can help you move past round 2 but otherwise there are lots of tutorials on increases and how to start the 2nd round!

Hi, it’s totally ok to use that size! I mainly used the 2mm because my kit didn’t have enough yarn

I’m an intermediate/advanced crocheter. I haven’t tried this particular pattern. I’m struggling extremely hard to follow the patterns included with literally every kmart kit I’ve bought. No idea how a beginner is supposed to complete them, I have to rewrite the patterns. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

The patterns are not written very well and definitely aren’t beginner friendly :( there’s also issues with not getting enough yarn sometimes. You’re not alone! Lots of people have told me they’re struggling with these kits which is one of the reasons I started this channel. I have some free (rewritten) pdf patterns for some of the kits, you might find helpful!

My sister gave up on this one and gave me the kit. I crocheted it exactly as the pattern says and ran out of the green wool way before finishing, plus the proportions are way out and it looks NOTHING like the picture. Kmart probably aren't even aware how shitty it is.
