You guys got this all wrong... Get them mechanically sound compression test saves money so barn find skyline is now a pretty roller. I guess money fixes everything now days. Barn find one had a bad headgasket overheated was parked. Cooked the turbo and sat. As soon as you seen cholesterol in the water pump there you go. It was parked blown headgasket overheated. Y spend money on looks if your dressing a pig?. These skylines are rare in the states we just cant get them. That poor car. Are you scraping it over an engine job now? I'll buy it and do it the other way around. It would be ugly but mechanically sound then u make it pretty. Otherwise you are waisting ur money. Why turbo bad? It overheated guys.......

Just for reference man whenever you're doing oil changes on RBs always use 10W60, any RB from a 20DE all the way to a 26DETT will love it. I personally run Penrite 10Tenths 10W60 in my R33 and it's mint runs super smooth and always has good oil pressure

People need to stop perpetuating this. If you aren't racing, then oil is oil. The car doesn't care if you use 5w30 (which is closer to manufacturer rec) or 10w60 if you are driving like a normal person.

If you wanna run 5W30 in your RB then go ahead 😂 but for the rest of us including some of the most well known Skyline/RB builders in Australia use 10W60 hence my suggestion ✌️

I'd be making sure that oil drain hose is oil rated. Otherwise it will swell and wont allow enough flow. Also, the whole point of a clutch alignment tool is to align the splines so you don't have that problem 😂

Maxpeeding rods absolutely serve a purpose, applications like the Lancer-Gini where you’re never gonna run crazy boost figures, are absolutely perfect for them. Like in that case you either get an unknown condition used ca18 turbo or a fresh Chinese turbo that’s gonna also have some form of warranty

I never had a issue mounting a RB26 transmission but then again I've installed transmissions so many trans since 1997 so I know alot of tricks of the trade to get the splines to catch almost immediately.

Lets be honest bro you got ripped on the barn find 32. Non complianced, hole in fuel tank, bent roof, horrendous body/interior etc and you paid 7K for it. Shouldn't have even considered it tbh, you made a big mistake financially and didn't look into the car enough before jumping at it. The fact it wasn't complianced in AUS, that should have been enough for you to stay away from it with the condition it was in let alone spending money on it before realizing. Glad you thought about it and decided to ditch it, but you should've never bought it and wasted time and money on it. Hope you learnt your lesson of flexing "I bought the cheapest R32 in the country" only to realize it was a absolute lemon. Live n learn though. Glad to see you have a decent one to fix up now!
