Lacking hp is probably lack of flow at higher rpm, stock exhaust and intercooler are maybe limiting you higher up in the powerband
@MrJandysss3 жыл бұрын
Exhaust is restriction, intercooler on BWA is upgrade for 16v TDi. This cooler work great with GTB1756 on BKD (2.0bar - 36psi and 220bhp/500Nm my street setup). Pressure drop is small, cooling is fine, on TDi work to 250bhp, on TFSi is fine to 320bhp. BWA needs high octane fuel, because this engine have high dynamic compression pressure. I think, mix 10% ethanol with 90% gasoline (placebo 100 octane) will solve the problem with “nopowah”.

Holup you don't don't think the low HP could be to the restriction the mufflers is causing? The tune is made for a down pipe that's high flowing if its not seeing that it needs to push more? I remember when I had my Camry a long time ago i tried to make it louder and i put spacers in the muffler i remember that the torque band moved up significantly (it was a manual) so maybe the muffle is giving you low hp numbers because of a restriction

Check the wastegate actuator. They can tend to push open and drop boost. Put some preload into it and you should see better results. I've got a Mk6 R and it will run to 30 psi although at that point it's pushing a lot of hot air as it's outside the efficient range of the K04. You should be targeting in the 25-27 psi range though. If you've still got $800 left then definitely fit a water/meth kit. Will go some way to making up for the stock intercooler. With some silicone bends and exhaust tubing you could also make a cold air intake that sits a pod filter behind the passenger headlight. Remove the light when you're racing and instant horsepower gain.
