I really like the behind the scenes of working on the smaller stuff. I worked on many Wooden Boars for years. Chris Craft Cabin Cruiser, 1938 Privately built Wilhoit 1938 old boat. Built first by a cabinet maker for his resort in Missouri. All mahogany.

Thank you for not trying to be an authority on everything about your boat. It’s refreshing to see someone that wants to be sailing instead of trying not to! Can’t wait until we see you guys back on the water! Good job 👍

How do you find the roll-tip method of awlgrip on large flat areas? That is one project on our to do list in the coming year to sand back and repaint/non-skid the decks and we’re debating on roll-tip vs spraying on areas such as cockpit and pilothouse to get a good finish. I’m also curious to hear how your cabin sole holds up with the awlwood finish over time.

Great video. Did you use the Awlwood Satin varnish after the primer? I am going to be redoing the floors in my 45 year old Alden 44 next spring and am still trying to pick a finish. There is too much to choose from....

How did you get the sliding hatch off? I can not find the catch the is keeping mine from coming off
@sailingavocet2 жыл бұрын
With the turtle shell removed it slid right off the tracks
@ctnvisual52812 жыл бұрын
the tracks that the hatch slided on can be removed once the turtle shell is off, then the hatch can be lifted off, tracks too.
