Awesome video! Love my pro plugger. Way better than trying to seed, buy sod or plugs and can’t match cultivars. And the deep roots you don’t have to water as often as sod or seed.

Just rototill that area 4 inches down, level it and reseed with some good stuff. Tilling not only breaks up the soil, but it aerates it as well and 4 inches down is perfect.

That doesn't work for hybrid Bermuda. There is no seed for it. The only way to get more of this Bermuda is through plugs and sprigs.

I would have added couple bags of Scotts Lawn Soil and mix with sand for the new plugs! It has a 10-10-10 to help them plugs out!

I am always weary of "lawn soils". They tend to introduce weeds. Also, I didn't show in the video, but I did fertilize the next day.

Great video! I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it for me to try this in my backyard.... Do you think the section where you put in the plugs will be fully covered by the end of next year's growing season? At what point would it make more sense to do seed or sod?

I think it will be 75 to 100 % filled by the end of next season. For Bermuda, seed is a bad option, but sod could be a good option.

Because this is free and Bermuda grows fast. This season is almost over for the Bermuda, but next year it will take off.
