I had same problem with my 2006 tsx. I unplugged fuse just like you showed and solved battery drain problem.

Fixed my 08 tsx. It's been almost a year with no problems. I was about to buy a new battery until I saw a video about this

Thank you for this...I have an 09 tsx that’s been having the same issue. I just got back from the dealer because battery was no good after the check charging system came up. They gave me a new battery and the guy that gave it to me told me exactly this...turn off the Bluetooth because that might be what’s draining the battery and now I come across your video so I wanted thank you for showing me how to do so.

Definitely helped, I got the Bluetooth off and the car runs smooth but the check charging system is still on...would I have to remove the battery to reset it or could there be a problem still?

@@diamondhandz5187 I would try reconnecting the battery to see if that resets it. I know this is kind of hit and miss on each car.

That panel is a pain to get off. I disconnected the Bluetooth thing and after my new battery drained and being stranded and need a jump to get back home, I’m afraid to turn on the car with the new battery recharged. I feel this was the problem, but I want to get one of those voltage things to see if my alternator is charging my battery. If the alternator is bad, I don’t have the money right now to have it fixed and also don’t want to get stranded with a drained battery. I just bought this car about 5 months ago and wish I knew these Acura TSXs had this battery drain problem. Anyway, thanks for the great video and clear explanation.

Oh and after getting the panel off finally, I left it off for about a week and didn’t want to deal with it until today. It was just as much a pain and these things are not design to come off. I didn’t want to scratches the panel up or beak the tabs. Well, I got it back on after 30 mins. but most of that time was spent trying to get the 2 pieces to fit flush and even. I would get one side fitted and the other side would pop up and vise a versa. I finally left it uneven bc I gave up. I wish you showed exactly how to put it back or what part to get in first. It seems to have some kind of order and the angel of where it’s located is another pain and hard to get to the back part. The 2 front clips didn’t seem to go back in and maybe why it was easy in the other 2 videos to put everything back? Bc if I pull on it joe to get off, if seems to move a lot easier than when I first tried to get it off.

just came across your video. My battery light is coming on when braking too, intermittently . I found that once I was stopped I would put it in neutral and the light immediately went out. I deliver transmission parts so i mentioned this and he said that made sense because of the change in rpms told the computer to thinks different.(laymans terms) So for days now even when im driving and the battery light came on. I quick put it in neutral and it temporarily corrected the failure. Im gonna unhook that bluetooth right now. I'll reply a follow up in case anyone else has similar issue.

i didnt change the alternator cuz im runing the car with that issue for months if the light start flashing with bad alternator bad is by 2 weeks after the first time the light is on,but right now the light is on again after i did the steps

Jose Camacho not too sure. This worked for me. Maybe you got a bad alternator. I changed mine 3 times.

Same here. Happened tonight to me. 2006 TSX with 168k. Its 12:10 am in the parking lot of In and Out burger and I just pulled off my kick panel and that handsfreelink bix was pretty warm. Hoping we found a fix 🙏🙏

06 Acura TL my brother was having issues he sold it to me he replaced the alternator and I just changed the battery I saw the light flick on quickly a few times but never fully lost charge . I don’t think it has a blue tooth thing in it though.

clankdimxx Look on your steering wheel controls. If you have a phone icon button, then you have Bluetooth. If you start having issues, you may want to consider disconnecting it. (Hopefully you won’t) Good luck, and thanks for watching.

Hey thank you for this video. This is very helpful. I have 2006 tsx. i had the same issue. i took it to the dealer first they change the batter. It was temperately fix. That lasted two weeks. Then back to the dealer, They change the Alternator. That lasted about 6 months. Now i'm getting the error msg check charging system. i'll disconnect the BT adapter see what happens .

manuel lopez you would think the dealer could fix this issue instead of charging a bunch of money trying to replace a bunch of things. Mine is still good after disconnecting the Bluetooth. But some people are still having issues. Thanks for watching.

Would this work for a tsx 08? Changed my battery twice and it’s been 2 weeks and now while driving my check charging system when on while I was driving. Than while I saw that and trying to take it home all the warning lights when on, in the vehicle and kept turning off and on

adrian arias I never had the ABS light issue. Only charging system light would come on then shut off. That was my issue.

I am having the same issue. Car continues to die even after new batter and alternated and new grounding cables. I disconnected the Bluetooth , but the Dash lights / clock light goes in and out when you tap it with your fist and now there a high pitch squeal coming from the speakers. I am honestly at a loss. Anyone else having this issue? I haven’t tried replacing the 40v fuse, so going to try that. Help please!!!

@@moneyman4830 yeah, it was a bad alternator that was dying out. Until it finally gave out. Also I feel my starter is getting weak ( cranks longer than usual on cold starts only) so that will also need to be changed sooner or later but for now it is good.

This shows you how useless the mechanics at dealerships are. This is a very common issue so bet they have charged customers a ton of money acting like they had to do a all this work to find the problem.
