awesome reminds me of my dt50lc i picked it up for 800cad (450Gbp) that no one wanted. someone torn it down 15 or so years ago though and painted the plastics and gas tank grey and the frame was stripped of paint and had light grey finish one the frame it looks great! it had ceased forks and rusty gas tank and brought it back to driveable condition. i happened to have pit bike forks that were a direct fit and have a little better travel too cant beat free parts! I don't know if its a stock bore or not but its fast it will do 80kmph and still have more to go. only thing i have left to do if hook up the rest of the electricals for the bike

haha awesome mate! Love a lil build! Myne was similar, guy I bought it off just before I was 16, 2 years ago now, had stripped it to start restoring it and didn't have the time so I bought it as 4 big boxes of parts, I had 0 knowledge on motorbikes so was an interesting learning curve but my god, when it first popped into life, best feeling ever 😂 literally that bike taught me most of what I know now lol... am never going to sell that thing, most fun bike I own 😂

so I still have that bike, but I'm using it as spare parts to keep my blue one running and as spares as parts are really hard to come by on these!

i wanted to rebuild mine but the head bolts decided not to undo or tighten now it leaks from the head
@dmc_autos7 ай бұрын
ah bugger that'd rubbish mate! only thing I'd reccomend is drill the nuts from the top off and then pull head off to expose the full studs and then you may be able to weld something to the studs to pull then out? not sure really!

@@dmc_autos I’ll try that then mate 👍

I could probably tell you everything about this bike and engine. just point to a bit and i`l fire off an anser. 30 yrs hence. first thing you should do is pick the best engine and imeditly replace crank seals, you dont even need to split the engine. then use the big bore. just stick a new piston and rings in it.
