Fixing Ford Mustang Convertible's Rear Windows gap while on vacation

In this video I will demonstrate two (2) ways to fix the gap between the front and rear window in a Ford Mustang Convertible while I was on vacation.

Wow thank you for posting this video. Had same situation with our rental in Hawaii as well. You saved us a call to the rental company and/or possible drive back to the airport rental office. The first fix ,just pulling the windows worked for us.

We have a 2017 mustang with this issue and it's been driving us nuts for years. Fords response was "We know that's a problem, but there' s nothing we can do about it". We've been using the "Get out of the car and Pull the window" method for years and it's a pain in the ass. If slapping a little Vaseline in that slot works I'm going to love you, but I'm going to hate Ford even more that I already do... I'll keep you posted on the outcome... Thanks!!!! :)

I had this problem. When window gets to point it won't connect with passenger window, i push window button down once real quick and pull up again real quick and window comes up to point to connect to passenger window. Takes some skill, but I got it down lol.

Reading the responses, it appears this sort of thing happens with most Mustang convertibles as rentals. My wife and I are seriously considering purchasing a 2021 non-rental Mustang convertible and the rear windows got stuck like the one in this video. However, the rear window on the driver's side closed better than the passenger side, but still, there was still a gap. How often will we have to lotion these windows? As one reviewer said, why hasn't Ford addressed this issue?

after driving this convertible in Hawaii... I would strongly against purchasing this car. besides the gap... I found this convertible very noisy and loud and not the good kind of loud. In comparison with my only other convertible experience , which is Lexus SC430, the lexus is so much better. again... If I am in your shoes, I would look for another convertible... good luck and thanks for watching my video.

There is actually a way to fix this by adjusting the bolt that controls the angle of the glass. This involves removing the backseat and rear plastic panels though but is an actual fix instead of treating the symptom.

had that done that the dealer, was good for month , and now its still not closing all the way

@@minhsao my wife has a 2019 Mustang GT convertible. We have so much fun with it! It just turned 95k miles. I do the maintenance, change oil and rotate tires every 5k miles. Only parts replace are battery, brakes and tires. Trans and diff fluids @ 50k. Live in AZ so Cabin and air filter 10k. It’s been a very reliable

Mustang has been the biggest piece of garbage. The rubber that goes between the 2 windows fell off and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. I wish I knew what it was even called.
