The truck just died on me on the road, and here is how I fixed it. So if you have the same codes, this could be your issue.

This video was so helpful. Thought for sure it was bad fuel. Running like crap every time I accelerate. Dropped the tank pulled out the fuel pump drained the tank. Flushed all the fuel lines pulled the fuel rails and soaked them in gas. Pulled the injectors and cleaned them. Also I changed the plugs. Filled it up with 91 high octane gas. With a bottle of fuel treatment. Went run and it still did the same thing. I noticed the check engine light was on before I started. I ignored it thinking it was cause by bad fuel. I went get my buddies code reader. Googled the codes an scrolled threw some KZbin videos. Came across yours went climb under my wife’s 2008 Tahoe 5.3l 4x4. Same exact thing as your video. Green and white wire where shorting out. Taped them up and tie strapped it out the way. Turned the key an went run it down the road. It ran perfect. Came home cleared the codes. They haven’t came back. Your video saved me a bunch of time and money. Thanks for sharing your video

I am experiencing a similar issue in my 08 Tahoe. As soon as the rain stops this afternoon I am gonna check this out. I got the same P069e code BTW. Thanks for the video.

I did a thorough check of mine and I did see the spot above the driveshaft but mine was safely tucked away with a body mount. Followed the wire loom all the way into the engine compartment and never found any damaged wires. Took it to the mechanic and they said it needed a new FPCM. Had that installed yesterday and the truck still tries to stall when accelerating out of a hard right turn. So its back in the shop for now.

Ok, the truck is fixed now. The wire harness you repaired on your truck is the one that runs to the FPCM . In my situation the seal on the FPCM failed over the years and during a torrential rain recently with standing water the FPCM took on water. The seal allowed rain water into the module where it sat in a puddle. When we made right turns the water would move to the circuit board and short it out. Originally the shop replaced the BCM instead of the FPCM by mistake. Now with the new FPCM it runs perfectly.

Thank you for your video, I just replace the pump and those same codes keep popping up, check the front drive shaft and guess what? Wires rubbing against it. Thanks again.

I changed fuel pump and module I looked for the wires but I don’t seem to see any wires in this area I do have a 13 I’m have to double check again
