Fixing Grandma's Old Dryer - GE DBXR463ED1WW

Recently, my grandma's dryer has been making a horrible grinding noise, so I tore it apart to find out what the problem was. In doing so, I also discovered that one of the heating elements was out.
We moved to this house in 2011, and the washer/dryer pair came with the house. The serial number seems to indicate that this machine was manufactured in May of 2005.
