I'm almost a professional now. One day. In the meantime I'll play one on youtube. In episode 4 I tore down these LSA heads and discovered they were very poorly machined. Now watch me take these mediocre pieces of you know what, and turn them into something special!

Nice work from an old guy who did heads for years with OLD type equipment.....Stones....Screw in Bronzewall guides.....Thin wall liners....all by hand....hand porting......Did it for many years and still do on occasion.....It's a lost art anymore.....I'm 75.....drag racer/engine builder since the 60's....

I enjoy your channel, i try to do some work on heads here in sweden, made a cutting head to my old milling machine so i can resurface heads, and just bought a old valvegrinder and some valveseat cutting tools, just doing basic work, and light polishing cranks on my lathe, so thank you for doing these videos, greetings from sweden

Old valve grinders can be very good with a few upgrades. Especially once you replace the chuck with a collet chuck

Some alloys become magnetic when machined. Who knows what kinda stuff is mixed in with those seats. Its the chips that became magnetic.

Just found this channel, please keep uploading videos, fantastic work 👍🏼👍🏼 could you tell me the fly cutter setup you are using to surface heads ? If you mention to some people (especially on Speed-Talk) that you surface heads on a BP they will loose the will to live. How do you find the accuracy ? I like you think it can be done! Thanks, great vids

@@White.Elemant When I seriously considered getting deeper into cordless tools, I thought a long time about batteries. Battery cost is absurd, in my view, and I ended up considering batteries as much as the actual tools. I settled on two brands, and three battery lines. I am extremely reluctant to add another line. It surprises me when people have numerous brands because of this.

To be honest, all my new cordless are Milfukee. Older ones Default, and the ones with cords are "the ones that meet the specs when i needed to buy them". Poor can't be picky 😃
