Fixing iPhone loose Lightning charge port

@@naufalhaziq2793 There are some videos that show you the electrical tape fix, but… I found that using two layers of scotch tape instead is way better. Works for me and it’s been a year now. Just have to replace it every 2-3 months. Good tip: Use and Apple charger, no generic, combo that with the scotch tape. Put a case over the tape as well, it will keep it in place. Search KZbin for electrical tape in iPhone port fix, then switch with two layers of scotch tape.

That’s the dust I thought the same but I used a toothpick n had to scrape the bottom doesn’t wiggle anymore

Sometimes it’s the most simplistic things that fixes it! I used an air duster brush attachment and worked like a charm!

Great video. 💜 What I do next: with scissors I cut a medium size rubberized plastic toothpic as far down until it fits into the lightning port, in such a way that it takes a bit of effort to so. Than by wiggling, twisting and shoving it around (carefully) you can “scrub” the contacts and take out the left over dirt & remove contact corrosion. Works like a charm, and if it doesn’t I add a tiny drop of rubbing alcohol. Also cleaning the contacts of all your plugs is important. Of course: at your own risk.

Wow! Lint was the problem but the toothbrush didn’t work. However, a toothpick did the job. I picked out several little bits of lint and my to-lose-to-charge lightning socket works fine now. You saved me a trip to the fixit shop or a new phone. 😊

I had 3 iphone which all 3 hade the same problem. And that is why evertime I was buying new phone. Today I saw your video and fixed all 3 thank you very much man. I can sell my old phones right now so I saved like 1000 dollar on them. Btw I used nails very carefully.

Port is clean but it still wiggles and still lose connection depending on the position. In short: lightning is just utter trash

Same, mine and probably yours has same issue. Charger wiggles side to side. The tape hack worked for 15 months, I changed tape every month. But now it’s not working as much. Guess I will see to get new port

@@levihernandez6775 look up “tape hack for iPhone port no charge. Just use two layers of scotch tape instead of the electrical tape in the video. Every video that shows it will use electrical tape. I found that two layers of scotch works way better and also use an Apple brand charger. Nothing less.
