I love this work you have done on the figure. I am pretty sure you got a knockoff figure as such issues aren't usually there on the original figure. However, you fixed it and it was great. I am planning on buying 2 of these guys. One I will fix the same way you did and the other I will try to add the Spiderman logo on it like the comics. Your work is really great and is gonna make me do my first ever repaint on a figure. How did you paint the teeth as they were not completely white, more like off white. May I know what paints and colors you used on the figure ? Are they all acrylic paints ? I literally have no clue about painting figures so I would be very happy if you could help me out. Also keep up the great work. You just got yourself a new subscriber.

I use dollar store acrylic paint on my figures haha. I recommend getting familiar with the paint and brushes first so you have more control on how the paint gets distributed. I also prefer working with thin layers and slowly building up the colours. I used light blue for the eyes and a cream-like colour for the teeth. As for the varnish, I have the varnish I used listed in the description box in my recent videos. Hope this helps!

With the Venom figure I have, all I did was repaint the gums and teeth to look a little cleaner, and changed the gums from pink to red. So to say the least, I kind of took a page out of your book, Ken.

You should do this more often, there's some bootleg that are good but have bad paint jobs. And also some brands like (Marvel Select and ZD Toys) that has BIIIIG problems when painting human faces.

I use a somewhat wet brush and apply thin layers at a time. It’s a bit easier to blend that way

🤔🤔I’ve never thought about using acetone! I think it’s because I fear doing irreversible “damages” to my figures. With acrylic paint I feel like I can always undo any mistakes.

@@KenIMakeIt I had that same fear but through trial and error, I discovered that if you use a *very* sparing amount of acetone on a pointed Q-tip(you can find these in makeup shops usually), you can strip paint without stripping any plastic. It can take a while depending on how much paint you are trying to remove but I have found this method very helpful.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that was a bootleg. Thankfully some bootlegs aren't that bad and are on par with the real thing when it comes to posing and how well they stick together. If you're good at painting a bootleg can be a great alternative if the real ones are too stupid a price.
