Of course, as my luck would have it, not long after getting the Nakamichi LX-3 cassette deck up and running, the spare motor I had installed in it started periodically squealing and losing speed. In this video, I disassemble the motor in an attempt to get some oil into it, and in the process, I show some of the other work I've done on it and other interesting things I found out along the way.
Looking back on it, the oil probably wasn't supposed to go in those two holes, but rather only around the shaft of the motor. Luckily, it doesn't seem to have hurt anything that I put some in there (though not much actually ended up making it into those holes anyway - the area around the shaft accepted it much better, though even that took some coaxing).
