It's good to see the bike on the channel again. The original leak is probably from the float bowl where you tried to tighten the screw. It's a common problem. Also, you can get more power by loosening or removing the small bolt at the end of the exhaust. For good videos about working on these bikes check out Bikeberry. They have a youtube. I have their 48 cc and it rips! Please keep us updated and feel free to message me if you run into any troubles.

On the fixed part of the handle there is a screw. Loosen that and the rotating part will come out. Or second possibillity the fixed part are two halves that need to be separated. On assembly take care of the position. Give a bit of gas before closing up the parts that way the locking and stops are in their free position. The sound indicates that the main jet could be too big. There are two jets. Idle and main.

Jetting: put a fresh plug in and get it wide open and hold the kill switch in until you come to a stop, then pull the plug and look at it. You want a nice golden brown color. If its too rich (dark) go with a smaller main jet, too lean (white) go fatter. Also there might be a pilot jet and different needle clip positions. I believe the needle clip position can affect 1/4 - 3/4 throttle, main jet affects full throttle. The needle sits above the main jet so if you raise the C-clip it pushes the needle farther down toward the main, if you lower the clip position it raises the needle (it will make sense once you see it). Maybe you can find a chart online for a base line main jet for your elevation. When its dialed in right that thing should go from zero to top speed very quickly with you on it, a little slower for the fellas. Good luck Collette :)

Bikeberry.com will have all the parts and info you'll need for the bike. 2 stroke engines need a good exhaust. You'll get a major boost in performance just from the right expansion pipe. Jetting should wait till you get a new exhaust to put on.

22:46 That's called a fuel tap :) Also, bare in mind that changing the fuel:oil mix will change your fueling. The oil displaces the fuel, so adding oil will make the bike run leaner, assuming you don't change the jetting.

I’m a 2 stroke nerd and that thing needs a real 2 stroke carb to ever get good power, I recommend getting a small Lectron carb and a jet kit and tuning it from there. You can tell if the fuel mixture is perfect on a 2 stroke if the plug is tan, if the plug is white it’s too lean and if it’s black it’s too rich.

I've owned one of these bikes since 2014, and I drove it almost everyday for the first 2 years. Currently getting it running again. I think to put an electric start on it you need an entire engine and its much bigger, though they do make a pull start kit for these, you need a kit to widen the pedals too. I always ran mine with 40:1 fuel and a lot of guys will tell you that too. 32:1 was too much oil and it would start dripping out the exhaust. Probably close to 1000 miles running 40:1 and I've never done anything to the engine besides clean the carb once.

Fuel petcock are notorious for the o-rings and the rubber “gaskets” that they use for the valve can Shrink with age and long exposure to fuel etc. I would not bother trying to fix it, they have like a ... spring washer... in them and it’s so hard to get to seal properly after it’s not worth it. Just buy a new petcock. But for sure take it apart and learn how it works!

I don't know what spiders live in Florida, but here in Australia, we have spiders called Huntsmans, that possibly look similar. Don't kill it if you can help it, as spiders are nature's way of pest control.

The thing with two strokes is that as soon as you change one thing you have to change another. With your carburator, you have to change the jets or adjust the air/fuel mix. do it when the engine is warm. best way to see if it is a good air/fuel mix is by the spark plug, after you adjust everything go on a 5 min ride and take the spark plug out. it should be brown-ish color. And also when you are going full throttle, on the top end there shouldn't be any choking or stuttering. it should be smooth all the way to redline. Good luck P.S. sorry if it is hard to understand, looking at the fact that im Latvian.

Dad got me the little Honda kit for my Schwinn. It’s definitely a fun bike with the engine on it! I can go 100 miles on one tank of gas. It’s a little four stroke, so I don’t have to mix gas. P.S I didn’t know it at the time; but it was a test sis. He wanted to see how I took care of it. I did. I washed it, changed the oil etc. had it for a year and got a Honda 135 Big Wheel.

Been so long since I worked on two stroke motorcycle. Does that thing have choke level? The needle for the jet have adjustments... you slip the clip into the slots to either aloow more fuel or less fuel. Thrittle cable move that needle up and down. Then there's also another fuel adjustment that controls the idle. Two stroke motorcycle carburator manual will help you determine what needs adjustment.

That is definitely a spotted back ambush hunting spider. It is following you from the bathroom to the shop, to see what your regular route is so it can ambush you when you least expect. I would carry a big fly swatter to fight back the next time you see it, then kill it before it ambushes you or the dogs.

Hey Collet, all the power in a 2 stroke is in the intake port and exhaust' expansion chamber. You need an exhaust for the bike with an expansion chamber or it will never run like it should or have a powerband at all. Port matching the carb to the intake would double your HP.

use the nt carb. it has way more adjustements. dont get any thing from bikeberry, theyre all just mostly gimmicks, just use the stock nt carb jet and tune it right, or a pz 20, those are cool too. just make sure to jet right. port and polish the jug, id skirt the piston for more air fuel flow, smooth transfer ports, weld up a mz 65 or kx85 expansion chamber, high compression head with large cooling fins, ngk br7hs spark plug, id get a fresh cdi, 36 or 32 tooth rear sprocket, 32:1 fuel ratio, dont use mag rims id use 12g spoked wheels. youll be flying with this setup, happy riding.

that right there, is a bonfied huntsman! and an itty bitty one at that... not sure if they get much larger over there, but our Aussie ones grow to about 12" with ones around 8" being pretty common to see, and the bigger they are the faster they seem to move too.... i've been chased by a few over the years. generally harmeless, though can give you a scare when you're not expecting one, lol as they like to come inside during winter and keep warm with the rest of us...

you can also adjust the needle which can be adjusted where you put the throttle cable in the carb that does mid range and then you have 2 jets high and low low is for low rpm and high is for high rpm and if it sounds like it stutters it is rich and if it bogs down it is the opposite of rich (i dont know the word) also look at the spark plug you can find online how it should look like

It only has one main jet. I have one if these kits on my bike. Sounds like it's four stroking which means that it's lean. I also run 40 to one fuel oil ratio with a good quality oil and you will be fine. The wrong ratio will cause either a lean or rich issue. Too much oil makes it lean and not enough makes it rich cause this changes the viscosity of the fuel slightly. Try moving the e clip on the needle up one notch. I run a 68 jet. Good luck. These bikes a fun to work on.

Welcome to the country, you have yourself a wolf spider. They're venomous but the bite is just red and itchy, like a really bad mosquito bite. You need to corner them, for them to bite you. These little engines are so underestimated and actually build not bad at all. Its the bairings and fitting tolerances that let them down. I have built a few bikes over the years all capable of hitting power band and going over 80kmph. Expansion chamber is a must have if you want any real power or speed. (Don't buy the banana crap) . The other things is the engines hardware is shity so replace that with some good grade stuff and locktight and you should be mint. Ps stock up on head gaskets as u will prob need them soon enough haha. I got stuck 80km from home one day and a beer can made a mad gasket

The length of the cable can only be shortened with the adjustment at the gas handle, because it is allready adjusted all the way to the max length... You are right on the idle screw though. It only adjusts the idle by slightly pushing the throttle slide up when you screw it in and letting it down when you screw it out. One of he last times Adam comes driving in to vieuw and the engine begins to sputter, it sounds to me as if it is getting to much fuel. You can check that on the spark plug to verify. If the spakplug is black and greassy/moist it is getting to much fuel, and the main jet should be adjusted. That can be adjusted by lowering the needle or just changing the jet to a smaller size.... I would start by lowering the needle in the throttle slide. Good luck with it! Oh, and no idea on the spider, because whe don't have em as big here in Europe!!! 😁😁😁😁

@20:00 may have to adjust the clip on the jet needle for 20-80% throttle and pilot jet for idle to 20% throttle.

If you want a really nice 2 stroke oil to mix with your fuel, I'd recommend Klotz Snowmobile TechniPlate, really good top end lubrication and smells nice when it burns. Snowmobile oil is better than the Super TechniPlate because if the fuel sits in the carburetor the oil won't corrode the jets and wont gum up the needle valve.

Carb sounds rich to me. Too much oil in the gas can also make it run poorly by fouling up the plug. Mix up some gas that you know for a fact is 32:1 and not just something else with oil eyeballed in. I know from my experience breaking in 2-stroke outboards where you double the oil you usually have to change the plugs soon after break-in is over because all the extra oil trashes them. Guess cleaning them would work too. Also use an ounce or two of Seafoam or something similar per gallon. I use Berryman B-12 in all my stuff since it's cheap and works. I for sure use it in my 2-stroke stuff.

That spider is definitely a huntsman spider...they’re usually not too aggressive towards people, and they help keep the bad nuisance bugs around the house at bay...it’s definitely not a brown recluse, as I’ve never seen a brown recluse ever get any bigger than a half dollar coin, but it looks like a huntsman...it could also be a wolf spider, but that isn’t as likely as the wolf spider is a lighter color usually...but I’ve had some serious heart attacks when I’ve seen huntsman spiders in or around my house as well,, cause they’re friggin HUUUUGE!!!! Lol

You should swap from the 2 stroke kit to the 4 stroke. It's a little bit slower but you don't have to mix gas, there's no clutch, and pull to start! Super easy for around the compound. 2 strokes are fun but a hassle

It's harmless. They get alot bigger too. I used to pick them up and play with them when I was a kid. Seen them almost as big as my hand. Can remember the name of that spider tho

IMPORTANT!! Take the petcock off of the fuel tank, wrap the threads in plumbers tape (the white stuff) and screw it back into the tank. It really isn’t well sealed from factory. This’ll help a lot

As a 41 year old Floridian I can say these spiders are everywhere when you’re that close to the woods. Bombing the building is a pointless act as these creepy crawlers slide their way in from cracks under doors. Just step on it, wipe it off, and keep moving forward.

You need a nylock nut or a lock washer behind that nut to stop it from backing off with the vibration that little engine makes.

Sounds rich to me. Try stepping down the main jet by 1 size and see how it run. Check check max rpm or speed with GPS to see if leaning it out helps.

In Australia we call them Huntsman spiders. One time I had too much to drink and slept outside on the patio and my missus came out to check on me and she reckons there was about one hundred of them all over me 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So where there's one there are hundreds 🤙🏽
