This is so cool! This is a huge leap in custom action figures! Great job, it looks great and you can’t tell that it’s a custom leg!

The thing I REALLY love about this is if you're a toy maker, you have a new way to make a finished looking product to take to a manufacturer to get make. I'm waiting for the day that a company contacts a yoututber to do designs for them, because sometimes these toy designs look horrendous ( I'm looking at your GI Joe classified Falcon head sculpt).

With quality control becoming a more prevalent issue that looks like it could absolutely be in packages now ( not to say it’s a quality issue, it’s beyond impressive and spells big things for you man 🎉❤!)

are you gonna do more characters after you finish the ben ten aliens?if you do, what would they be?

you could literally just make your own bucks instead of customizing other figs

I really want to do this but the resin wears down too quick

I’ve seen a guy here on KZbin that makes figures and he uses a thought resin that seems to be better. Let me see if I can find his video on it.

He goes by Azrach Toys here on youtube, he explains the mix of resins in the video with a superman on the thumbnail and it says free in the same thumbnail. I shared the link of the video, but I think it got deleted. Maybe this one survive. Just trying to help.

I just set up my lightbox the other night so I can photogrammetry my MU Thanos with Infinity gauntlet (trying to get a mirrored fisted hand). So cool to see how well this worked out wow wow wow

This sparked a curious question in me If an action figure is missing some parts, let's say left arm and left leg Would it be possible to replace those parts by 3d scanning the opposite legs and flipping in in some software then 3d print?

Thats exactly what I did in the video

A comment I would like to add is have you been able to use the revopoint mini version 1 and if so how would you compare between the two I ask because I have one lol and would like to know if there is a huge difference
@CraftyGecko6 ай бұрын
I havent tried the mini 1, but the points I list about the IMU, the RGB camera, the lights and what not are upgrades that the mini 2 has over the 1

I do have one point to make before my main reply. It must have been pretty expensive to get that paint all the way from Montana, they don't have decent paint at your local hobby store? 😂😂😂 $912 is way cheaper than I thought. Yes, it's still a lot of money, but it's cheaper than a decent laptop. This is a game changer; can you imagine fixing figures proportions? What if the figure you have should have beefier arms or legs, or hell if the head is too small or big. just scan the original and change the size.

I'm sorry I don't understand the comment about the paint? I don't mention anything about where I got it from, on that it's too dark? The scanner itself is absolutely incredible, a real game changer and I'm very glad to have it. Its a reasonable price for its capability, made even cheaper by the discount code too
