You should definitely do a drag build on it and put a electronic Locker rear end out of one of the newer Toyotas and get some slicks for the back and some skinnies for the front and see what she does

Oh yeah the turbo I'm running on mine is the T3 T4 Max speeding rods 97 dollar Turbo.... I think the compressor trim is 57 at first I thought it was too big but it's spools really fast like no lag at all

@@sebastianharrison6118, yes, that would be a cool direction to take this truck, at least for a little while. It's a perfect sleeper truck to have fun in. We tend to widen the stock wheels in the back and then put Mickey Thompson street slicks on sleeper vehicles. It will need a better set of adjustable shocks and ladder bars on the back to make a set of slicks hook up. And of course a driveshaft hoop for safety...because more power and more traction put all the stress on the u-joints. ;)

Don’t apologize for not filming stuff! You got the truck done and you’re happy which is all that matters 🤘🏻

glad to see you got it fixed up bro. such an amazing swap

I would install a huge external transmission cooler on it, or you will probably cook the fluid and kill the new transmission
@redlineranch.5 ай бұрын
I’m looking into how to best do that, or debating letting it cook itself and finding a nice manual that will hold the power!

A cooler and a magnifine in-line filter are cheap insurance.

Is this a a43d transmission?

Yes it is, a 4 speed made for 140hp with no torque converter lockup, it’s struggling to keep up

I just picked up a 1999 Tacoma 2wd with the 2.4 (5 speed manual). It's amazing how torquey it is. 5th gear still pulls, absolutely love driving it. 75 mph no problem. 28 mpg.
