For better control you may look into a digital display soldering station that allows you to dial in very specific temperatures. Another upside to a soldering iron is there are lots of different tip shapes to choose from to allow for more precise application of the heat. My father uses the soldering iron method to apply foil to HO gauge train models which have very fine details.

Fun! I prefer this method of restoration much more compared to paint and stickers

I totally agree! I think with some more practice it will only get better.

It’s cool to watch you get progressively better. I wonder if you can put a second layer on top to iron the spots that are missing foil?

Just an idea … tap the logo very lightly with a versa mark clear stamp pad (used for heat embossing) then lay the foil on it and hot iron it. You can also use a new piece of foil to touch up any missed spots. Great idea!

What is the purpose ? to smooth out the surface ? to help to fix the embossing ?

That mini iron is too cute! I think you did really well with the foil transfer.

Thank you! 😊 I feel like I'll only get better at it with some more practice, and I love that you can wipe it off and try again if you mess it up.

I do think that using a q-tip, or a sponge makeup brush maybe, could work a bit better for removing what you don't want. A bit more precise, where you're less likely to hit the parts you want to keep, lol.

I am thinking about doing this also but with the normal iron, so after seeing your mini iron, I decide to order it first and will try...thx for the cool tip :)

Awesome! Definitely test on something first if you can, and always start with the lowest heat to avoid melting the plastic.

How tiny is this mini iron? 😆😆😆 Cute😂 I didn't know these tiny irons excist so I would never had the idea to try it with an iron on transer foil. I just got mirror-effect nail polishes the mail to use those on the logos. It works... but it's also not ideal. So if I can get my hands on one if those mini irons, I also might use this technique! Thanks for sharing👍 I think your results look pretty good💕

Could you use a blow dryer? Or heater instead of an iron? You might get a more even finish

In you last Video you told us that you will try out something to restauration the Logos with foil, and i know there exist these Heatfoilpens, i thought you will try them out. So i really wanted to know if they work better ^^ Maybe i will try it out by my self, everytime you motivate me 😆👍

Do you have another recommendation for the foil paper? or an equivalent to what would be at a general crafting store? It looks like the link doesn't work anymore and I'm really interested in trying this for my own project!
