Fixing "NO MCU FOUND" | Klipper & Kiauh

Kiauh is great to get your Klipper setup on your normal X86 PC, but I ran into a hurdle. After spending half a day troubleshooting, I finally found a fix that worked to get me up and printing!

How do I flash the printer? All videos are doing this from a Raspberry pi

The main thing with certain operating systems/MCU's is drivers/linux firmware. Looks like the "patch" grabs the correct drivers so the board could be detected.

Thanks to your help I managed to get Klipper working on my ender 3. Now I just need to set up Moonraker so I can use cura which has been giving me a hard time, It appears I can't access the server from outside my Klipper box, do i need LAMP?

ok, like always, I'm the exception to the rule. FNG trying to use my beast of a pc with ubuntu ran inside windows 10. wont get an ID when i say that its USB connected, but I get one with the second option of a UART connection. i get an MCU ID. trying to flash it, it cannot connect. tried several USB cables, both are 4 pin/data happy that controls direct with creality slicer. when i use balena etcher to flash a micro SD the BIN file, it does not take it. (yes, renaming each try) so I revert back to a tried and true BIN file to run the 4.2.7 and BLtouch (ender 3) so now, i'm at a loss, doing down this rabbit hole is getting annoying. I'm also staring at a le potato and arduino uno with nice cases I printed for them, thinking I'm gonna just have to do it with one of these instead - but I'm not trying to give myself a crash course in programming all this mess. All because I didnt want to buy a $150 Sonic pad.....

i was having the same issue with MCU, glad you were able to help on this one. After the install thought i started seeing "MCU 'mcu' shutdown: Timer too close This often indicates the host computer is overloaded." while doing the calibration. Did you ever encountered it? i was using ubuntu on an old mac air.. im sure its a bit beefier than a pi so not sure why this is happening. Im installing mint now see if i run into the same issue.

I had to use sudo dmesg !!! nothing else worked.

If the above process doesn't work try all these commands in order: systemctl stop brltty-udev.service sudo systemctl mask brltty-udev.service systemctl stop brltty.service systemctl disable brltty.service reconnect USB and everything worked for me. Good Luck!!!
