Thing your calling microchips are capacitors , they dont have to be vertical to work

Got this, love it but like this mine doesnt open when there is no disc in it (got an empty disc that i swap out constantly when i take out the dvd i watched.

i have the same player not reading three SACDs ok on most like vocalion 4 channel SACDs plays blu ray and CD and DVDs thanks for the vidio. a very good player it also plays the DVD Audio only discs

Thanks for the comment! Yea, it’s a great player and I bought it for the SACD and DVD-A compatibility too! Not many new players can do both which is why I wanted to have a go at fixing it! I hope you can get yours sorted ok mate 👍🏻

Hello friend,I have that player, although it is very slow to start reading, it reads many formats, my problem is that it does not read DVDs and CDs, it only reads Blueray, I don't know what the problem is, I assume it is the pick-up, there will be another solution ?

@@anton_facondi there's only one way to fix this problem = you'd buy a new laser head set.
