I found myself laughing, impressed, and smiling often. I liked: - Raven and Weiss's moment about Weiss´s weapon and funny moments during the moment and at the end. And also the fact that Weiss has grown a spine made of adamantium. - Roman´s and Ruby´s relationship. It is interesting former enemies has to make peace and work together. - Roman and Ozpin. They seem to complement each other very well. More balanced compared to Ozpin and Oscar. - New Kali and Ghira. - Possible reasons why Adam is right to hate some humans. RT´s show failed to present that. Edit: And the(not so subtle)hints that he isn´t right in the head. And last yet not least: I am happy to support this project. This really is a more fleshed-out version of RWBY and better in my mind in many ways.

Roman works because of the Moral Grey angle the show tries and fails to present for Ozpin, At least Adam’s character is shown to be something fairly early on, unlike in the show which shows his brand right before he dies (and even then at that point no one really cared about Adam).

@@thomasraines1396 No argument here. One of the reasons the show is bad is that there aren´t enough chapters/episodes to make volumes/seasons interesting or time what they have is poorly used. The thing that this work in Fixing RWBY videos has changed and is well used.

@@observer2484 I think it’s mainly just them misusing the time they have by wasting time on fuck all while the characters just meander around with a “nice” thing of empty melodrama which isn’t meant to make the characters grow or change but to simply pad the run time. This series actually takes time to develop the characters and feels more focused.

So there is now a 3rd stepsister, wow. Based on what we see it looks like Raven would have also provided a genuine home to yang, even if it would have had some bandit like flavoring. With Yang’s obsession over Raven convincing her that she was a equally valid option compared to her dad things were already tense. Now with Vernal being physical evidence as proof to what could of been a happy life, I see Yang having a mental breakdown. I can’t wait see the meeting of Raven and Yang. Thank you Celtic for making the long wait for this volume worth it.

My only suggestion is at the scene when Roman & Ruby went to the spider stripper place Ruby should’ve cloak her self more because of how embarrass she is to be at such a place, It’s a small detail I know and I understand not putting it in but I like the Little detailed, The interaction between Roman and Ruby where awesome! Loving this with Roman teaching the “Greys” of the world to Ruby, Helping her to see more then the stander black and white morality that she usually see the world as, Thanks for continuing this awesome project! I hope there's pushback, though. RWBY strikes me as an optimistic show, so while it's fine to challenge Ruby and show her maturing, I don't think she should ever become a hardened character. It seems like Raymond is leaning towards that with the Ozpin/Roman conversation, but I think it should be a strong focal point. Hopefully she'll get to speechify to Roman later in the season.

I like Roman and Ruby’s growing dynamic, Roman is still a a delightful bastard, I liked the cut to black as Sun complains, Hopefully the Branwen Tribe is actually worth a damn in this version, instead of being a bunch of losers squatting in the woods, I like how Roman and Oz’s sharing a body is explained it fits with Oz’s morally grey nature and does a better at portraying actual moral grayness then the show has ever and most likely ever will portray, It’s nice to see Kali actually act like a character and do people things, I like how Adam has a hint of tragedy to him while show Adam just becomes a whiny obsessive loser in regards to Blake and we only see his brand right before he dies and by that point nobody gave a shit.

Re-watching this over and over Im really happy about those adam scenes in the later half. I always found it weird that at the end was when we learn about it and it seems like such a big moment in his life they never touched on. Im also in the losing side here but I find it odd that theres a character like Adam and Weiss but never had any kind of short encounter or anything just a few screaming words or something.

I hate to say it, but I like Roman being the new member than Oscar. He has the FMA Greed ver. 2 feel about him, but the personalities are switched. Both the banter and their conversations are interesting and give more depth to their characters. Also Roman's dynamic with Ruby is freaking good. I like how they test their ideals and beliefs. Both pairs go well together for both being similar but also being opposing.

I never intended to really start going into the comedy as much, but with V5 needing the level of overhaul it does, slipping jokes in is the only way to stay _sane_ at this rate. I’m glad they’re landing, we had a lot of fun shooting joke ideas back and forth in the SH. I’m trying to recall who suggested that joke in particular. I _think_ it was JayJay, and Soon took the idea and made a chibi image Duo that just let it _stick_ and that’s ultimately what put her on the scene in the first place.

A connection I drew between Alex from clockwork Orange and Lampwick from Pinocchio, which is based on Torchwicks new place as Ozpins host: They are used/made into tools. Alex is made to be non-violent by the government testing, which gets him brutally beaten by people he wronged as a criminal and cant escape because he is now law abiding citizen, which could easily happen to Torchwick now that he has to be "good guy" and might end up meeting people he wronged. He can't just escape from those people, as he is tied to the Team RWBY and Co, and has set destination. Not to mention the burden of Ozpins past getting him the ire of Salem and Hazel, who see that Ozpin wronged them and want to brutally beat him. Torchwick might, like Alex, meets some of his former gang members that have joined the law enforcement and want revenge on their former boss for being ass to them. Also, government is not trying to help Alex, just testing ways to turn lawbreakers into "good citizens" and person who oppose this only use Alex as a tool to talk against the oppressive government, like how nobody really cares about Roman (except Neo), he is just vessel for Ozpin, that the only reason they want him around. Roman is Clockwork Orange made to dance on Ozpins tune (especially when he takes control of his body, kind of like the reprogramming done to Alex). Lampwick is transformer into a donkey by the Coachman and sold of to work on a farm until he dies from the exhaustion, tying to Torchwicks past as farmer and how he is now just pack-mule to Ozpins will, carrying him around in him and eventually Ozpin will be in full control of him, making Roman into Ozpin Donkey-skin (Fairy tale where princess hides from her father by wearing pelt of a skinned donkey, like how Ozpin can use his new life to hide from his enemies), not to mention how Ozpin might not get his mission completed, so Roman will die doing work for Ozpin, like a pack-mule he is. It would be interesting if you bring Penny back, as Pinocchio and Lampwick were friends and both turned into donkey, like how Penny and Roman are, to extend, tools to others (Penny to Atlas and Roman to Ozpin and Co),which could lend to two of them relating with one another for not having that much agency in their lives and maybe Roman is slightly jealous that Penny, a robot, is treated more like a person than he is, noting that he is more of a puppet to Ozpin than she is to the Atlas. Roman is the puppet on strings and Penny is "real girl"(he thinks Penny will live on while he will "die" by Ozpin permanently taking over his body.). Interestingly, Clockwork Orange movie version has Alex returning back to his criminal ways after surviving a fall from a window, while in the original book, he tries to get back to his criminal lifestyle, but cant because he has grown older and feels out of place, making him go and become a family man out of his own choice and not because govermant reprogramming (as the programming failed after Alex fell from the window), kind of like how now Roman survived a fall and tried to be criminal, but is gettign pushed to be a good person So two paths for Roman, to die as a tool for Ozpin or to live his life the way he wants to (be it as a good guy (book) or as a criminal (movie))

Okay, so a few things. The change the Branwen tribe, *especially* Vernal, is very interesting. I wonder if Weiss is gonna form connections with anyone, and what that would mean for later. Adam is definitely more fleshed out, and yet still seems to be on the same path. I'm wondering what, if anything, is gonna change for him in the end, or if he's going to have a similar fall to as in canon. I feel like Ruby and Roman are some of the best dynamics to bounce off of each other, and it's interesting to see not only how they're different, but how they're similar. But more than anything else, I love what you've done with Kali. Cat mom got the biggest brain of the bunch, especially the threat of what destroying Mistral would actually lead to.

Though I like the subtle implications of Raven being a “better” person in this, I honestly don’t want Raven and yang to end on good terms. To be exact I don’t want Yang to see Raven as her mother. Summer Rose is her mom. At best theirs closure, maybe a friendly relationship with Vernal but I would need to be convinced. Though based on the track record of this series celtic could pull this off.

I love this opening! This version of kali is so much better then canon! I like that the branwen tribe is more spaced out then in the show. I love that small glimpse of Salem. Also love that Weiss is getting along with the bandits, though slowly. Can’t wait for the next video!

I'm not sure the pseudo-4th-wall break at the end of episode 5 works. I think if you're going to end it like that, it has to be more of a surprise, and saying "Cliffhanger" sort of spoils it ahead of time. The Myrtenaster scene with Weiss and Raven was legitimately great. I think it was the first time in the whole Fixing RWBY series where I actually burst out laughing. A+ man. Ruby, Roman, and Ozpin have a great dynamic with each other. You did a good job taking what was originally a dull, lifeless waste of time in the actual show and replacing it with not only some interesting world building, but also good character moments for everyone involved. Adam's Flashback for his scar feels a little off. He gets caught stealing something, and the first thing that happens is . . . that he gets branded by a guard? The scar always felt to me more like Adam was previously a worker or something for the Schnee corporation that "branded" him, either as punishment or just like you would brand cattle. Is this warehouse usually guarded by people wielding perpetually-hot brands as weapons? I like the overall idea of showing Adam as slightly more vulnerable and traumatized, especially after his "We're going to war" speech, but I think reworking exactly how he got the scar would help sell it better, as right now it looks like there's no real connection between Adam and the Schee Corporation beyond them being the ones he got caught stealing from. I just don't feel that Adam's implied personal trauma with the symbol lines up with what we saw from how he got it. Finally, while it was also a problem in the original show, we've hit a bit of a dry spell in terms of combat. We're certainly not wasting time like early-mid Volume 5 did, but for an action show we've had what, 1 minor fight scene with Blake, 1 major fight scene with Weiss on the Airship, and one comedic one with RNJR and Torchwick, 8 episodes into a volume. I get that the end of the volume is probably going to be multiple episodes of nothing but combat again, but even inserting a small scene of Yang and Neo fighting off some Grimm (showing their potentially interesting fighting dynamic), or maybe Ruby and Torchwick fighting off some thugs that Roman owed money or the like, would help the pacing of this stretch of episodes.

A lot of improvements and... once again some mixed visuals which I can't fully fault you for though LyubiZ's work continues to amaze and fit fit like a firm glove for this re-write series. Not going into specifics but, my favorite episode for this branch was definitely 7. Roman is by far the biggest wild card that brings to life so many connections that the original failed it terrifies me for when I visit the cannon attempt at that season later next month. Also, your voice impression of Qrow is more on point than his replacement. Proper thoughts will be had when you upload all of the entire volume as what we have here is yet another great setup of things to come. Yet, we're only a third of the way through.

I just noticed this but in the opening at 1:00 Cinder is using Pyrrha's weapon as a sword. Damn, talk about a trophy kill this is no doubt going to cause Ruby and Jaune's blood to boil at their inevitable confrontation.

That's... that's not Milo. Pyrrha's weapon was a gladius-type sword that lacked a wide (or really any) crossguard. That's one of Cinder's glass blades.

The color scheme looked very similar to Pyrrha's ensemble that I thought Cinder gave Pyrrha's sword/spear the same treatment Jaune gave Pyrrha's shield, reforging it to suit her purposes as sort of a keepsake. Turns out I misremembered the part from the volume 4 rewrite that Jaune had both the sword/spear and the shield.

I keep watching this trying to find something new that I missed. Besides finding more reasons to appreciate the art work (the one that animated emeralds image of Salem, 5 stars), I really like how it’s being set up how powerful cinder is by stating how she is killing hunters off screen. This will make it more believable if she beats our main characters or the powerful side characters on screen. I’m pretty sure besides helpless civilians, Cinder has only killed Pyrrah and Vernal after getting her maiden powers. So to see her “win” in season 8 after consecutive failures, and no training (after she leaves Salem HQ) was a little jarring.

The whole Kali playing them against each other was hilarious, but also adds a certain depth to her. She's kind, sweet, and warm, but knows how to play the game of detective work and getting the information you need by means of cunning. Vernal calling Raven mom... Oof. Can't wait for that stinger on Yang. Though I did notice the artist did well on making Vernal compliment Raven's appearance. I love the Raven Weiss dynamic. I sympathize with Weiss, but I like how she considers what Vernal and Raven tell her. I like this Raven already. As others have said the RomanxRuby dynamic is REALLY good. Roman is that reality teacher that she needs so her strive to be a huntress is more grounded in realism than blind idealism. 45:40 I swear I thought he was walking out with another woman at first; not Ren XD 47:45 That Salem looks terrifying. She looks like some evil vampire queen from The Legacy of Kain series. O_O

Funny thing about Vernal is that she teases Weiss calling her princess but Vernal's seems entitle and a bit like Weiss. I like the scene with Weiss weapon, but I ~think~ Raven would either sell or uses, since its a well-made atlesian sword with dust compartiment, and a Schnee heirloom. I was kinda hoping Raven would throw her in a spar with Vernal to regain the weapon, only for Weiss to prove her salt and gain a bit of ravens respect. Could also be a chance to put Weiss in a similar position of Ruby ("you dont know how to fight without your weapon), and put Vernal and Weiss in a frenemy relationship "I want a ReMaTcH!' type. Im loving Roman/Ozpin, they seem way more organic and equal than Ozpin/Oscar.

I feel frist two episodes of this stall mint are bite rush through, like trying push through from point A to point D of a storyline. Overall I like idea how bandit camp is set up between made max/ Mongolia tent upset pair to a Palisade set up in original RWBY. It tells the bandit camp is on the move and, I love idea how bandit we're worshipping the ruins and, talk about how one death within or, on ruins disturbed the bandits and, how they not so eager to spill more blood. Bring out more character for the tribe.

Thank you Thank you so much for noticing my designs. I did my share of scenes for this season as well as the last but I've done a handful of vehicle designs, I've always been dissatisfied with RWBY's. It's not the kind of work that goes front and center, that people notice much less give any praise to. And yes, it's a machine gun sort of based on top-feeding LMGs of WW2 like the Type 96 and the Bren. It's mounted on top of a mini truck, the kind the likes of Mitsubishi makes and are commonly used in Japan.
