Join me on a fascinating journey through the Outback as I fix a solar bore pump and delve into the area's rich history. Watch as I troubleshoot and repair the pump, and then explore an old well to uncover some fascinating artifacts and stories from the past. Plus, I've included some historic footage of camel shooting, a glimpse into a little-known chapter of Australia. Don't miss this unique adventure in the heart of the Outback. Jack, seeing you connect these powerlines made my eyes hurt. You could make your life way easier by using WAGO 221 connectors. Just flip a latch and you are on your way again. They even have a waterproof container for the connection. Used a couple hundreds of these bulding our house here in Germany.

Another great video Jack, well done and good commentary along the way. Good to get rid of a few camels as well. The number of camels about in the drought after your water must have been horrendous. Interesting about the well next to the salt lake.

Great work jack on the solar pump replacement 👍 possibly mineral build up from the water would cause failures. Loving your vids mate just as good as the high ranking ones . Just do me a favour and use those multi grips the right way 😂😂 . What brand of solar pump is that I sell commodore and nastec and have previously sold others we won’t mention ?? Great to have genny backup always helps when you live where I do installs with lots of cloudy weather on the east coast . Still loving the truck episode that was gold 😂😂

Our desire has always been to utilize them in a useful and productive way, so in a good season (or with good condition animals) I take steak! But during the plague we dragged them into piles and burned them. It was tough to see animals like that.

great blog jack i am using similar pump frum touhorse 500w solar i am curious as to your water quality mine is about 3000ecs 45m in limestone about 30 ks nth of river murray but im lucky to get 12mths run before it needs new rubber stator available from touhorse or aliexpress @ 1/3 price great show thanks &best wishes tim
@jack_out_the_back
@jack_out_the_back Жыл бұрын
G'day Tim! Most of ours get 18 or more months, we found that the best 3" pumps wear the stator out quicker no matter the water quality. And a good number of our points have harder water. I'll dig up the quality tests later.

@jack_out_the_back

Cheers! Yeah that's a Remington 700, Varmint SPS in a KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis, in .308. A short while after this, I had to get a new barrel, but unfortunately the bolt has been damaged by the excessive workload. The other rifle is a Remington 7600 Pump in .308, but it was not reliable enough.

@@jack_out_the_back Maybe a Tikka T3 would fit the bill! I’ve been reasonably happy with the stainless Howa, although the chamber periodically develops a fine rust which is frustrating.

None that I've found! The geology around the station is not indicative of gold, and information from drilling indicated that the the small amounts that were detected were a long way down, but they have been good water bores!

I like to try to make use of the camel meat, when I have a small number I will take the meat for steak or sausages. We did a trial program last year where we harvested 200 camel for pet meat. During the dry period I reference, we just piled the bodies up and burnt them.

Why not just tape the new cable to the old cable and pull it through the conduit, no need to dig them up, and or leave a bare end connector laying out in the open.

The bends and angles in the buried line doesn't always make it great. I often do that for our sensor lines though!
