Fixing Sonic Heroes?!

Sonic Heroes has been a large topic of conversation within the Sonic community. Mainly due to Sega and Sonic Team teasing small hints of the game in many random Sonic promotional material. Due to this resurgence of Sonic Heroes conversation and speculation about a possible Sonic Heroes remaster, I thought it would be nice to provide many ways to improve upon Sonic Heroes. In this video I will explain some fixes to Sonic Heroes that could be implemented in a Sonic Heroes remaster and go over new ideas that could really make the remaster stand out! For the Knuckles/Chaotix interaction, Izuka said that Knuckles Chaotix isn't canon anymore in an interview which is why Knuckles doesn't interact with Team Chaotix in any way in Heroes 😢

First of all, Those are pretty good suggestions and they could improve Sonic Heroes quite a bit, In fact, I had thought that they could make you choose to form a team with your favorite characters, like in Advance 3 but with three characters But I will resign myself to emphasizing that "oooohhhh Snackazoinks"

The reason they didn't do Team Sonic Vs. Chaotix and Team Dark Vs. Rose is because they didn't want to expand the story because they were trying to keep it simple for new fans without them having to go back and play the other games to understand what's going on.

the story is pretty great, though they opted for a simpler story rather than a complex one like in the Adventure series. the overall game is not very story focused

As someone who started with this game over 10 years ago and still love it to this day. I agree with a lot of the issue's. And it would be nice to fix a lot of the issue's.

I dont remember what position they had but someone in sega said during pre-release or an interview that they didnt "use the chaotix" but instead took thier looks and names and made whole new characters which is essentially what they did, this is why knuckles doesnt recognise them at all despite knuckles's chaotix (yes its actually pronounced knuckles's)

this is the most enjoyable sonic game i’ve evee played. the most thing i love about sonic heroes is being they play with a team character so it’s more challenging and fun because of the different abilities in each character. ❤

Actually the power character slide is optional don't hold the joystick and they'll stand in place and spam punch it makes taking down those huge egg robots so much easier.

I was thinking that we could also have Tangle/Whisper/Jewel since they seem pretty popular and I was thinking having Mighty and Ray in a team with newcomer Trip. But I don't know much about the franchise; would Honey be a better fit than Trip? Edit: now that I've thought about it, Honey could be kept with Mighty and Ray while Trip would be the Power character for a team with Classic!Sonic and Classic!Tails. Yes, I'm aware that Classic!Sonic and Classic!Tails would have to be handled very carefully to not upset too many people!

The light speed dash actually works 100% of the time... if you're in the air😅. In all seriousness though the dash works really well when you jump and (almost) land near the rings, I guess you need to be airborne for it to work that well. My biggest gripe is it's the same level layout in the same order. There's small differences between the teams, but the game should at least try different level orders. I get that could mess with difficulty as you could have the Mystic Mansion be level 2 (conceivably), but they could throw easier enemies or pull a Team Rose and shorten the level to avoid the nastier parts of the level. I guess it depends, but regardless, it feels weak to go through the same levels with slightly different characters. A different order of levels between the teams might help, as it would make the next team run feel more unique.

I just got a bad idea. Team Metal Metal Sonic for speed, Mecha Sonic for flight, and Silver Sonic for power. I know this is a terrible idea but I just wanted to share it.

Honestly hear me out i get rhe complaints but I've really never had these problems once you get use to the slighr slipperiness its really easy to control even when moving fast next when grinding if your trying to go fast hold down the button instead of just spamming it it helps build speed but you will still be slow if your not holding it also lean with the rail so you get faster when turning when switching rails make sure you don instantly jump off wait about a second before doing so you usually won't fall off tbh also when you light speed dash get a tiny bit of height when you do it your more guaranteed for it to work then if you just stay on the ground this also slightly applies to ground light speed dashing too finally when it comes to leveling up i would said level 2 is best for knuckles and omega but level three is better for air enemies or if they are slightly further and won't be effected flying once you level up you can thunder shoot more enemies at once because the characters won't take damage level three is the best because and should honestly be at least the second to get third on level uping because flying characters at level three will destroy most enemies with one hit and even take down the rock shields and they have magnetic ring collection when thunder shooting also even though its not that noticeable they do fly a bit longer and make sure you thinder shoot when flying the gsme treats it as if your not moving in the air when flying if thunder shooting so it gives more time to reach the destination also if your playing on PC if you use the glitch glide with knuckles or really any character in that section of the level that can glide you can shoot off to the next ship saving a lot of time on a rail in egg fleet this also technically applies with final fortress but not as much it just gets you further also note on PC the speed characters damage animation does play right like its suppose to so team battles are a tint bit more challenging but tbh they've always been my favorite part of the game so yeah

Sadly not, the game hasn't been ported or rereleased in almost any capacity besides a brief stint on PC that was taken down and as a digital backwards compatible game on PlayStation Network in Japan and the UK only. Hopefully we get a remaster, remake, or at least a port to modern consoles soon 🤞
