There is a guy at the public courts near me that takes it upon himself to correct everyone's strokes. He does this as a service because everyone sucks and are at least two levels below him. Needless to say, it pisses off most people. You clearly had better luck...you are polite and actually know what you are doing.
@topspin17156 ай бұрын
I assume that guy is giving unsolicited advise? Maybe he needs a better way to approach people to show he wants to help. I am sure some will find this insulting having someone just walk up to them and say "hey your technique sucks, let me fix it" hahaha.

It's really hard to change just one or two things in the swing and expect to see results immediately. Especially when it seems like the people don't have the right concept of the swing path and are still thinking mostly swipe up instead of hit through, or they dont have the correct contact point, etc..

How kool would it be to be on the court and Vincent walks up ! Oh yeah ! KZbin Tennis Royalty. I say that because if you have watched enough of Vincent's tutorials you *know* he knows how to hit the ball. He plays well and his method of teaching is something that I understand. Yeah it's too bad these people on the court didn't know you, or they would have really appreciated what a great surprised they had with you training them ! The only thing I can suggest if you do this again, is to have a little business card with you to hand to those you have helped, and because they are local to you, you could pick up some more potential clients, and u never know who you will meet on those courts. It's a good way to go. I'd have a really fun card that looks super inviting so people are more likely to send you an email or give you a call. You got balls doing that, because you never know how people will react. Great video !

Only insecure people don’t want to learn. You can’t have fun if you suck at it. I have seen people in my club playing for 20+ yrs yet still pushing the ball like they are scared of it. Never willing to put the work in learning fundamentals
@garychin41386 ай бұрын
@@don9733 I have played 20+ years and yes club players may not improve but chose to exercise in a social environment. I chose to play competitive tennis and learn to improve but I will not beat a 5.0 ranked 20 year old. And yes, I am pretty good, last year my team won the C-level indoor tennis league.. not so much this year in the B-league.

All you have to do is say you're not interested at this time and most offering advice will leave you alone. No need to be offended that your a beginner or don't really care about working on your game. It's not a big deal.

You are talking to newbies with advanced terminology , when they barely know the difference from forehand to backhand, even some of the more basic things you said, they still wouldn't have a clue on how to process that - you didn't even look at their swing before you started talking, just took them straight into advanced technique without any consideration of their level or understanding of tennis - while you might mean well, it is totally useless approach, and you might know good technique, but i bet you probably struggle to teach beginners and kids - only people with some base level of understanding of tennis technique might have some benefit. Albeit you had limited time with them, but from other videos, it seems this is your general approach - not ideal

You seem like a piece of shit replying like that tbh, stop going to teach random people "good" technique, its arrogant and overly cocky. Just because you"know better" doesnt entitle you to try to "fix" random peoples strokes, leave them alone and let them develop.
