yep just laying a board down on top of the subs should spread out the load and be able to just maybe slide a sub right out
@richbrown58522 ай бұрын
I did wonder if a puller like what's used to remove harmonic balancers/crank pulleys might make lifting the subs out easier, if there's enough slack in the cables, wouldn't need to get inside that claustrophobia triggering box
@poodlenoodlesoup12 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing! An access door up front maybe would help

A sled/board but with legs in the dead spaces. Could even use a creeper to set the sub on and roll it out. Or at least easier to service.

1:20 maybe you might want to fabricate a "crawl platform", in puzzle cutouts, so you can easily crawl your way over any sub in question. then install ALL puzzle cutouts IF you need to crawl all the way to the port. each of the platform cutout must have 4 rubber studs, elevating it just high enough to clear the subs' surrounds & soft enough to prevent scratching the subs' painted wall surface. i hope you get what I'm saying 😅

This build was a long journey but you achieved your goal and I'm happy for you! Bass van looks great and all the bass heads on Tik Tok were very impressed with your demos!!
@Morpheussig2 ай бұрын
I think it would be worth replacing one of the bottom side braces ("jail bars" you have to squeeze through). Throw a big nut to adjust tension on there so you have access while standing to quickly remove. Use screws with a bolt head so it's quick removal once tension is relieved. Then even when you can't visibly see it, you can get a socket on there easily! Great video as always, keep bassin!

Been watching you since the van days in driveway with a sign to get local bass heads to stop in and showcase there system! Got Bass? Man you have did so many amazing builds brother. Frankenstein, little blue with the he two 18s. Your wife's lil ride with the two 10s and adding smart cap. I've gotten so much inspiration from you brother. The big van is amazing and I love seeing you accomplish your dream build and getting so much enjoyment from it. I just did a B Piller wall with four skar svr 12s on a taramps 8k and your video of sealing the sides on lil Blue helped me get my sides sealed with fleece and fiberglass I used epoxy and it's hard as concrete thanks to you and air tight. Using the door seals to tuck fleece into and staple to sides of enclosure was key. My build is everything I wanted in my lil Honda. Love you brother and know that for some of us without your knowledge would be lost lol. Thanks Bruce!!! 😄

I've literally been watching you since Frankenstein, and I love all your builds brother. I'm in the process of trying to hit a 160db in my pickup aka 2001 dodge ram extended cab with two "15's evl's. She hit a 153.6db clamping 2800w with drivers side window open in the kick. I'm president of the NJ chapter for team deep hertz. And I so need to stiffen my fire wall bad. My brake booster moves like crazy 😂 but after this video I know what I have to do. Thanks Brother 🙏 can't wait for more videos keep up the amazing work my friend. I'd love to connect and meet up with you one day, that would be awesome. I'm building a 2001 Honda prelude rn and my goal is to get a 150db with 4 massive Hippo 6.5's in a transmission box setup. Trying to keep it light because the car goes to the track for time attack racing. And I just got a Mercedes Clk55 convertible, and she'll need a setup, maybe you can recommend something for her and I'll build it. But being a convertible she has very little room for boom😢 ambut any advice would be appreciated ty brother for all the awesome videos

Mad skills, mad dedication, love to see it, can't wait for more!! I must say though, thanks for not editing out your various attempts at squeezing through the port.. I did chuckle a bit.. sorry.. 😂 Also you need a timber board, cut to slide though and rest safely over the subs, allow you to crawl on top of as well as a work surface to rest tools on.. even slide the removed sub out, over, and allow you to work on them outside the enclosure. And a little cradle permanently mounted to your jack, to securely jack them out. Keep up the outstanding work, you're a real man, to push through your fear, and get these jobs done ❤ 👍😁😎🙏
