This is for those with the bona hardwood floor mop. If the piece on the base that connects the mop to the stand should happen to pop out.

Thank you! It just happened to me too, and after trying the hammer, screwdriver, etc. tricks (no breaks though, thank goodness), I turned to KZbin and found your helpful information. This just saved me a trip to the hardware store for a new one.

You are an ANGEL! Ten years later, and this just rehabilitated one of the (many) things my movers destroyed during my recent move. This is one of those times when one small victory feels big. I think this is also the only resource on the entire internet that even acknowledges this problem! THANK YOU!

Oh my gosh, I looked here out of desperation and there you were. Stupidly I was removing the pad while holding the mop sideways and bumped into the wall, which made the end fall off. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Thank you!

You are the BEST!!!!! Also, fyi, that end piece comes off the pole. There are two silver tabs you press and viola! Then you can easily bend it over your knee and reconnect easily, no long pole in the way! I also had tried every crazy way to get that thing back in there!!!!! YOU SAVED ME!!!!! Thank you!!!!

Thanks for this KZbin video!. This is 10 years later - we just hired a cleaning company to come in and do a deep clean of our home as a birthday present for me. After they left -and not until the next day - I find our Mirage Hardwood cleaning mop sitting on our workbench down the basement (similar to yours in this video) with the handle and the base separated into two parts. We struggled to try to put them together again which would have entailed a hammer at a certain point and I decided to check KZbin first. (My husband's first response after trying to get them together after 2 minutes was "Ok, let's just buy a new one" which is his answer to anything that he cant fix within 2 minutes and without breaking a sweat. So I watched your video and thought 'Genius! - who would have ever thought to try that?' And it worked! So thanks for saving me the trouble and cost of replacing the whole mop! I have subbed :)

I just bought one of these mops yesterday to clean our brand new hardwood floor. The same thing happened on our end, and we broke a tab trying to push the head onto the handle incorrectly -our fault. In trying to find replacement heads online, I happened across this video. I question why the geniuses at the Bona company don't add this tip to their instructions as a way to help prevent this problem, because it appears that it happens quite often. Thank you for taking e time to share this tidbit. Love your attitude... ha ha.

Bless you! I actually took mine apart because I had set the mop head on carpet. When I pulled it off of the carpet, the Velcro stuck to the carpet fibers and bent the head "wings" down in the middle so it wouldn't sit flat on the floor anymore, and therefore, didn't mop well. I took the head off, bent it back the other way, and then couldn't get the head back on the stand. Ugh.
