Fixing the elastic webbing on the Vango Sherpa rucksack

A quick video showing how I fitted the elastic webbing to my Vango Sherpa 60+10 rucksack.

Hi - thanks for this - it works well. I modified the fitting by crossing over the cord below each clip, so it holds stuff better, but without your video I wouldn't have been able to fit the cord; as the paperwork with the rucksack isn't very good - must add I just got a real bargain at Go Outdoors, the Sherpa 70:80 for or only £55.00 - if this lasts as well as my 20 plus year old Vango Exodus 55 i'll be happy - this is still in great condition but I needed a bigger sack for winter wild camping.

I was wondering Dave where is the best/cheapest place to get the mattress for the roof top plus the window foil blockers for sun and cold,would appreciate any help, thanks mate :) Tim

savedpurplecat Yeah I almost made it sound like I knew what I was doing haha Nice one, mines a 97-98 but they are pretty much all of a sameness, pretty sure my brothers is a 1995 too. Nice deal getting one with the 3 year warranty, hopefully not need it though. Now they are probably the 2 most expensive items to get, but you can get lucky with the thermal blinds by getting a used set off eBay, new they are generally around £100 for the front, 2 front sides and the rear. Having said that I ended up paying £70 second hand for mine, hopefully you will have better luck than me. I made the ones for the rear side windows from the reflective bubble wrap stuff I got from Homebase "ThermaWrap" I think its called. Cut out template and doubled up two layers of that held together with alu tape for each window they work a treat. As for roof mattress mine came with a really cheap hand made looking thing which I have not got round to replacing yet. Having seen the memory foam one my bro got I think its worth paying a bit extra and getting a quality one, again of eBay its a treasure trove for bongo part and accessories. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Memory-Foam-Mazda-Bongo-Ford-Freda-Roof-Mat-Foam-Mattress-matress-/180852932586?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a1bacbfea pretty expensive but very well made. Hey, sorry for late reply. KZbin doesn't properly inform me when I have new comments. Glad you managed to source extra clips, thanks for sharing that fact, could come in very handy. I presume the elastic on the ether side are for securing walking poles, that's what I use them for anyway. Glad you like the pack too. Atb Dave
