Fixing the non-closing center console cover on my W221 Mercedes Benz S550 4Matic

Thanks for joining me as I try to repair my center console lid that won't stay closed. I tried to find a solution online but was not able to so I decided to take measures into my own hands before spending money on a new cover and/or other parts of the center console.
I'm happy to report that I was able to resolve this issue and am no longer bothered by the always-opening console lid.

thanks, just got home and mines stuck open, i cant get it to latch.....i was laughing at the cyborg sound effects...lol
