Fixing the Power Door Locks -Part 9 || 2002 Honda Civic

The only way to lock/unlock the 2002 Civic is with inserting the key into the door & turn. The key fob doesnt work nor does the power switch inside the car.
We figured out that its the power door lock actuators and replace them. The price of the parts is at the end of the video.

Excellent video! I suggest testing as you reassemble. After I put the new actuator on the lever to the long rod connecting the inner door handle was misplaced so you couldn't open the door from the inside of the car. My wife got a laugh when I called her from inside the car to open the door from outside so my large frame body didn't have to snake over to other door. I rewatched your video at

I am having one hell of a time getting the rod out of the exterior door handle. I unlatched the rod holder clip that rotates off, but the rod WILL NOT pull out, almost like there is a C clip or something else retaining the rod in.... am I missing something? I've pulled about as hard as I can without breaking stuff. Any advice?

Hey bro ! I'm having problems with my copilot door lock maybe you can help me out solve it 🙏. I had the door replaced after a side collision, but for some reason now it won't lock when I activate the alarm, and when I desactivate it it locks. I checked the actuator and noticed that there's only one conector connected to it which is the 2 pin connector you think that might be the problem or is there something I'm missing. My door worked greats before I had the accident, but now I have that little detail. Can you please help me out , thank you. Blessings 🙏

so my car locks when i put the door handle up, but i cant open it from outside with the key… does this also solve the problem
