Good job, that must have been a little nerve racking! Ha ha. I'm looking forward to internet buying video. I'm on tractor house all the time, but have no experience with the actual purchasing online thing. Take care

Good one. I worked in Regina Sask in summer of 1979 at the John Deere distribution depot. A tornado hit the 8 acre facility. I think there were about 15 new tractors and about 10 new combines that could not ship out until all of the windows and doors were replaced. So you had a tough job and I imagine the replacement crew for the depot also had a long tough job. Well, you will be a bit warmer with a sealed window! :) Nice work!

When your buying off the internet your always to a certain extent taking a chance - but the photos will help and some people are honest and that's very nice now a days

Wow, that sucks, you lost all your data. Now you have to start all over again. Glad you are getting your computer fixed under warranty.

Hi Glad you got it fixed without creating a kit of parts to build a window . We had a time in the dealership where windows got broke in shipping to us. The last time the delivery guy said this box rattles and you might need this, then presented us with a tube of super glue L.O.L. tractor glass isn't cheap My buddy had a rock hit his rear and then went through the front, both were over $3000. Ive heard of some fronts being a $10.000 bill by the time they are fitted. For roll pins I have a special set of punches they have a small tit on the pin end, that locates in the hole through the roll pin. They work way better than regular pin punches as they cant slip off easily, and don't seem to burr the pins either.

+super6954 I’ve seen those punches and need to buy a set.

I used to work at a glass instalment company and the window you have there is tempered you can pretty much smack the glass face on with a hammer and not break it the weak part of tempered glass is the edges the hole does make it a little weaker but not by much

I have owned several macs myself. Just a word of advice and I know with a logic board failure there isn't really anything you can do but never take anything to apple that has important things on it that are not backed up. Logic boards in macbooks are notorious for going bad and with the new ones especially the flash memory for the storage, which is your "hard drive" is soldered to the logic board and since they just replace the logic board then yeah everything is gone. Also to the guy that said you can pull files off the hard drive with the right software, see what I just wrote, the computer does not have a hard drive it has a hard soldered SSD. That is why there is nothing left. Not to discount what you said because it isn't wrong just clarifying. Also set your time machine to backup daily to an external drive, that is probably the safest way to backup and save as much as possible. Feel free to shoot me a pm if you have questions about time machine or anything else on the mac. I'll do my best to help ya!

+Dale3887 I manually back up to an external drive once a week, but automatically would be more reliable.

Nice job with the window fix Guy. Sorry to hear about your computer. I work on them myself, and barring the hard drive disk didn't break and the motor didn't seize up, there still is a way to pull your files off of it using the right software.

+marhuf the Apple store said there was a main logic board failure, with the hard drive and lost s if other stuff built into that board. It came back basically a brand new, blank laptop.

Guy good job. Hate to hear you lost data I had that happen once and it was some important work stuff every since that happened to me I signed up for carbonite have all 3 of our computers with a subscription it automatically backs up several times a day you dont even have to tell it to it runs in the background. I really like it and when you buy a new computer makes it real easy to put everything onto the new one.

At the dealership I end up repalcing and fixing a few of those windows a year. Never really like the design but have gotten used to it.

Looks like your bolt needs to be turned 90 degrees so the roll pin is horizontal. Roll pin is to limit the motion of the handle so it doesn’t spin all the way around.

I had an accident with a new Holland rear window just like that one. I opened it and one of those gas shocks flew apart and smashed the window. Safety glass, turned into thousands of tiny pieces.

Glad to see you didn't drive that punch through the glass. When those big pieces shatter its no fun, trust me. Scares the crap out of you too.

back windows on newhollands are not theree best work !!! too big to leave open , will get caught in something and break ,leave it closed in summer and die with the heat , they have a good heater system which i appreacate coming from a air cooled tractor before , as electric heaters seldom worked ,

I had a bit of bad luck with on the rear window of a TSA115 after I had washed it down before I hooked on a Hardi 3pt 1000 litre spray unit I had the back window slightly open and instead of getting into the cab to shut with the window pulls In my wisdom I went to push it closed from the out side and with the slightest touch the window glass shattered into a zillion pieces and the replacement glass cost about $900 no doubt my boss was not happy!
