Thanks so much for posting this (and thanks to those that mentioned this fix) ..I just finished moving the pistons in a bit and it's made a huge difference. I'm glad to see that you're liking the T8. Other than the semi-shiny seat, you can consider yourself lucky. Some of us got Vee Flow Snap tires, Sunrace cassettes, non-SLX cranks and Entity hubs. Be that as it may, now that the brake issue has been addressed I have no complaints.

I do the same since my juicy 3, SRAM respond well to this trick, I've had issues with tektro Orion 4p they loose the self adjustment and they always feel mushier, they couldn't be adjusted since they were leaky. Always check for pressure losses... I bleeded & adjusted them for a month before noticing the defects...

I had the same issue on my SE OM Duro!

My Scott Voltage dirt jumper have Tektro hydraulic brakes and i really like them, so they seems to make good hydraulic brake systems. Of the 4 bikes I have, my dirt jumper has the best brakes on them. I have a similar issue on my main trail bike where there is a gap before the brakes starts. Been to lazy to check it yet, but should be interesting to see if i can do the same as you did with the T8. My main trail bike has Shimano brakes.

That's a great tip for adjusting the bite point. Shout out to the followers who mentioned it. Is spreading the pads apart a fairly effortless task, if need be?

Yes, I have a tool designed to do that so the pads don't get damaged. Without the tool it's harder to do. I have taken the pads out and pushed back the pistons before. You just have to be careful not to damage those too.

SRAM makes a model that is also thicker. I forgot the model name.
