FIXING WHEELHOP??? ECS DOG BONE INSERT MK7.5 GLI

Have you noticed more NVH after install? I have a 2024 40th GLI, waiting for AWE to release the track system for this. They're saying the 19-20 systems don't fit the MK7.5 but I think they do. About to order some DSG paddles. Intake, elbow, APR Roll Control Springs and bumps stops show up tomorrow.

The NVH is not bad after the first few hundred miles. It's a little worse forsure but not bad in my opinion. I have an mbrp from a mk7 on my mk7.5, no issue other than the tips are a bit smaller. Goodluck with your build! Sounds like it will be fun

@@Mk7John Yeah AWE said their system doesn't fit and I bet it's because the cut outs on our bumpers are oval now. That's it. I lifted a 2020 GLI next to my 2024 at work and they're identical.

does anyone know if this fits a 2023 jetta se 1.5t? same mqb subframe as gli, but ecs say it doesnt fit for some reason. anyone know?

Probably cause it has a different transmission. The dog bones are different for manual, 6spd and 7 spd dsg

Did the dogbone help with launch? Have you tried launching it with the dogbone :)?

It definitely did! There is no more wheel hop lol

How's the Mount doing now that it's been a little while? My biggest complaint on this car would be the little kick you feel on the downshifts when coming to a stop.

It definitely helped with that. Overall I am happy. When i first start the car and its cold it is a bit rough. Though I am not sure 100% if its from the dog bone

@@Mk7John probably a little bit of dog bone then a little bit of cold start and the SAI doing its thing through the intake. Cold starts are always weird on these things while it's getting its bearings lol

@@Mk7John somebody I spoke to that recently did the IE DSG tune said they thought the bucking with the autorev downshifting may have gotten worse with the tune because of the clamping force. Do you think you noticed that getting worse after the tune?

The amount of wheel hop these cars do is ATROCIOUS! I haven't done it myself yet but I think this might be the mod to do if you do nothing else. I was looking at that dogbone mount insert on ECS and noticed it also fits the Tiguan, so that tells me VW used the same pendulum mount in both vehicles. My wife's Tiguan has never hopped a single wheel, but I have to be carful when launching my stock GLI or the car will sound and feel like its going to fall apart. The stock pendulum mount was not designed for the GLI.
