Thanks for such generous useful instructions. I was surprised to hear from most local Australian kite surfing shops that I need to replace the whole line and have to pay more than $200 for a whole set of 4 lines after one was snapped right at the end. Fortunately, I have found this repairing kit in KitePower in local online stores. It cost me only $16 and took 1 day to be deliver and finish the job :-)
I have purchased this kit and resleeved my kite line like the video shows. But i realized that there is an overhand knot at one end of the sleeve that is taking the entire line's load. I thought we were supposed to not have any knots on the power or front main lines as the knot takes away the strength. Is it because the presence of a sleeve minimizes the tighter bend of a non-sleeved bare line? Effectively making the line function as a "thicker" line, so we can get away with tying a knot?

Sleeving allows you to knot the lines because it buffers the knot or doesn’t allow it to directly knot back against itself keeping the most strength in the line as much as possible when needing to tie a knot in the lines. Yes a direct knot with no sleeving will weaken the line close to 50% of its rated load. It’s always best to stitch the line. But the sleeving kite is made long enough to allow you to tie it and get you out of a pinch if needed. But we always suggest you stitch it for full line strength.
