Scandroid - Aphelion

Scandroid, the modern Synthwave project from Detroit based artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, is Klayton’s love letter to the 80s.
The debut, self-titled album features 15 tracks, ranging from the driving instrumental energy of "Destination Unknown," to melodic vocal tracks like "Awakening With You," "Aphelion," and "Neo-Tokyo," rounded out with the cinematic epics "2517" & "Singularity." As a child of the 80s, Klayton has also included a cover of the classic Tears For Fears song "Shout," that he has been patiently waiting to cover since he first heard the song on U.S. radio in 1985. The digital album concludes with a bonus remix from synthwave artist Waveshaper. The 72 minute album depicts themes of a cyberpunk future where humans and sentient robots struggle to find a connection in their dystopian world.

I really like Scandroid songs, they sound somehow both old and futuristic at the same time. The sound takes me back in time and suddenly the images become bolder and neon like from somewhere in the future, can't really say it better with words. Great song once again, although I really enjoy rock and metal, I will probably always be an electonic music fan deep down

I think the reason why it gives that awesome Retro and Futuristic sound is because it sounds sorta like 80's/90's pop put into a blender with modern day Electro styles to make a brilliant combination of the two, one of the catchiest sounds i have ever heard

aphelion is the farther point from the elittic sun s orbit but it also true that when is at this position the inclination of the rays hits whatever planet perperndicularly and so with more intensity. so maybe he could be talking about a person that influence a lot your reality by make you feel different emotions with strong intensity despite the good or bad nature of the feeling.

He deserves more attention then he deserves because while skrillex is ok and his songs are hit or miss for me personally Klayton in my history of listening him he hasn't disappointed me especially making scandroid he hasn't disappointed me at all....he needs more of a fan base honestly because this in my opinion is taking a genre and taking it to the Nth degree. Which for Klayton is not impossible especially Blue stalhi deserves more credit and plus they produce there own songs with barely a middle man because you know how middle man work but I believe when all the artists that are popular today die out Klayton will rise up against them and be popular. I don't care what people might think of him and his music its better the whatever crap is coming out now. This my friends is real music

Red is a character Klayton came up with for Scandroid. He's sortof like the band mascot, though he's heavily hinted to be themed off Klayton. Varien was the second member, but he has since left to work on Varien exclusively.
