It is not compulsory by law in my country to own a Smartphone and yet there is so much now that I cannot do/access here because I don't have a Smartphone. Ditto the internet. They avoid taxes in their own countries and in overseas countries, which means that the people in all these countries, are subsidising these companies big time. They collect data without our permission and use it to make more money through targeted advertising that they are paid big money for and make even more money by selling the data to other businesses. They have their own propaganda about all the good they are doing in the world, but remain secret and silent about all the wrong they are doing. They rake in mega amounts of money, much of which they have basically made on the backs of the people around the world, many who struggle to get by financially, or are living in poverty. My whole point is that I am against any company, individual, country, politician, government, religion, military group, media empire, et al, dictating how people should live and in the process making billions of dollars whilst disadvantaging individuals and societies.. I am not an anarchist, however that word may be interpreted. I am a person who dislikes the misuse of power in any form.
