Just bought Arctica X2 - in Poland, different from UK - the temps are much lower but the air is also much, much dryier - therefore you can have absolute blue sky, sunny, dry day in Autumn, and it would be just 5C to 10C temps. You deffinitely need something that keeps you warm and look into sensed temperature predictions, it is like: 10C when you stop, but 0C when you are riding around 25kmph.

Bought these last month, and I love them. Using them with platform clipless (CB DH Mallet), and as you say great feel. Also great to walk in.

Would you call them as year-round central Europe shoes (0-30*C)? Or only as autumn/winter shoes?

I really suffer with cold feet at this time of year, to the point where they get so numb that I can't feel the pedals. I'd be willing to pay the price if they're that good. And they're going to last for years because you'll only be wearing them for a few months each year.

Scott Rolfe they do a warmer version of these - the Arctic - but not tried them yet. Warmest boots I’ve used are Spesh Defrosters but what are you wearing on your legs? I find trousers make a massive difference as they keep your blood warm before it even gets to your boots.

@@GuyKesTV at this time of year I wear DHB or Gore thermal bib tights with a pair of mtb shorts over them, base layer and thermal jersey with a Mavic cosmic pro softshell on the top. Everything else stays warm enough, even my fingers just wearing full finger summer gloves. It's just my bloody feet! Haha. Like blocks of ice!

Jay Thorpe I wished I’d worn them Thursday night! They’re not super warm in freezing conditions but awesome in single figures and fine in the teens so for the UK they’re definitely all year rounders.
