@EthosAtheos2 жыл бұрын
@@elitewolfzz567 After my second almost 200 mile off road trip. I have decided to not go with a RTT or camp inside. I'm going to build an off road trailer. For me, the weight capacity of the FJ is just to low. I find myself overloading the suspension. It is easy to fix that. But if the suspension is overloaded it means the wheel bearings are to. Along with all the other down stream stuff. Upgrading wheel bearings, axles, half shafts and the like is far to expensive and to much of a reliability compromise. I'm not driving a 1 ton truck. I don't think enough people take into account weight when doing mods or off-roading/ overlanding. My last over land trip took out a shock that if I'd just been driving on road probably would have lasted 2-3 years. But 5 hours of rough dirt road driving and it is done for.

@BakedInMyCar3 жыл бұрын
I have really enjoyed this car and the setup! I guess it depends on how long you are going for/how many of you? I have found that I can go off grid for about 7-9 days with this setup (solo) before I start running out of water/food. It has long range fuel tanks (160l) and power isn’t too much of a problem (particularly now with lithium and the solar setup). The bed setup is great for rolling camp setups, you just have to get used to the front seat getting a bit messy when you are in camp. One thing to note is that the FJ isn’t super big inside, compared to other vehicles like land cruisers, etc, Hope that helps!
