Awesome video brother. I just did the same mod. I pulled the silver air vent dash panel to the left of the steering wheel and mounted my clicker there. Plenty of room. Thanks for sharing.

I use the lil spot in the console for holding ranch dip for my jalapeno poppers when I go to Jack in the Box.

@@eqlibrium854 I don't, I got it used on ebay. I know the mirrors that were in Avalon's around 11-13 were very similar. But you have to send them to a guy on ebay that changes one of the wires in the harness.

Thank you for that video. I believe I am going to do the same thing but put an in line a 12v to 3v step down module ($10 or less on Ebay) and power it off of the car. That way it will only work when the car is on. Thank you.

Very neat mod! The little spot in the console where you had the opener was originally supposed to hold an iPod, IIRC. I put a coin holder from a 2001 blazer there with some double sided tape, looks factory.

Question on this. The link to purchase the switch says that it must be wired through a relay or it will melt the switch. Dont have huge electrical experience, but doesn't look like you did that here. Any reason why, and have you had any issues?

Yes, the relay is recommended for 12V accessories powered through your car battery. Imagine the load on the switch from a heavy load like a winch, or flood lights...that would not be good without a relay. In this case, the clicker is powered by a 3V battery, that's not connected to the car. I am confident the switch can handle a 3V button cell battery load without any issues.
