'Laghum' is an ancient Swedish word meaning “what works for everybody." To make things Laghum is to address the distance between people and the land.
For 20 years, Jörgen Andersson has been the driving force behind Fjällbete, a farm in Undersåker, Sweden with a mission to close the gap between the land and its people. As the learning site for Holistic Management Sverige - the Savory Hub in Sweden - Fjällbete is facilitating a Nordic network for regenerative agriculture and helping people explore their “caring capacity” as farmers and community builders.
Today, a growing number of young people are finding themselves called back to the land... to a life of meaning... to Laghum.

So inspiring and full of hope for correcting course! Please consider being a monthly supporter of Savory Institute. It is a good feeling to help support the global teaching of holistic management grazing and more. I give $20 per month, but any amount given monthly will help build this movement.

People can be amazing. This is really impressive (pretty much the definition of being the change you want to see in the world), and it's so good to know that it's being adopted all over the world. We need to keep the politicians, NATO, the UN, the World Economic Forum etc. in their place. They're the reason this isn't the new normal, but we have the power to make it happen!

Careful with the outright rejection and pointing the blame at certain groups. While nearly all institutions use reductionist management which leads to wicked problems, if they were to manage their organizations holistically we would see a groundswell of positive change. We believe that everyone has the capacity for change if given the right opportunity, and given the immense global crises we're facing, this is an all-hands-on-deck scenario that requires everyone do their part... even those whose current policies may not align with our desired outcomes. As you (and Ghandi) said, be the change you want to see in the world. Focus on what is under your management, demonstrate what is possible by managing holistically, and allow others the opportunity to do the same. That's how you create real impact.

"You can see the spark in their eyes." Holistic. Quite the outdoor salad bar amid Scandanavia's humid continental climate. Trees, edge, forests and watersheds amid fields and crops. Eco-agricultural can thrive if all the species respect laws of nature, like carrying capacity. Here's to more of this on all the countries and continents.

Excellent presentation. Excellent concepts. A return to the idea of community building. So many details yet to be revealed. For instance, what is the best way to feed these animals in times of winter and times of drought. Does one plant on the grounds where the animals have been in order to feed them. Timing seems critical. Awesome videography and music. Thanks for sharing.
@SavoryInstitute

All great questions, but as you've pointed out the concept of community building (i.e. reconnection) underpins it all. The best way to feed, plant, move, etc. will be dependent on one's unique situation. But that's where the beauty of Holistic Management lies. It's not a one-size-fits-all system that dictates what must be done and when. It's a framework for making decisions amidst the complexities of living systems, and it helps people reconnect with their land and what they truly want in life. With this framework and reconnection, the path forward becomes clear.

A great start for this project, are there any plans to increase the diversity of domestic species/ (woodland pigs - overwintered in deep litter barns, poultry in predator proof arcs etc?) If there is an existing blog or updates of the videos, I would be keen to follow the progress going into the future.

There are lots of you tube videos showing this type of land management in Sweden and all over the world, if as many of us who can afford a donation especially a regular monthly one give what they can, we can bring about positive change. Doing nothing but blaming and complaining will not cut the mustard, start by sharing these videos.

And then the rains came on time.! Rain & Holistic Land Management Catel grazing they trample the grass eat just small part of it and move on it lays horizontal the Genius frequency the Grass puts out is horizontal wave RF frequency not vertical. The grass puts out a destressed RF wave to the microbes now covered with CATTLE urn and, manure with methane. The tainted urn water changes the frequency and its louder the microbes take in methane and cell divide listening to a different destressed frequency now than the grass plant normally puts out, and the microbe DNA shift is different changing into microbial Genesis DNA configurations for making microbial spores that bread into the air, are picked up by warm air and carried into the clouds where they freeze the cloud condense water drop the cloud, heavier now, lower into the atmosphere razing the barometric pressure and now we have rain. God put me in on a knowledge path into Army Signal to understand the principal of flat horizontal wave communication so I could understand this about holistic Land Management, and rain. Bogart I'm the only one in the world that understands that concept at the moment, it was explained to me by God my life Professor early this morning dreaming.. There are two now that understand rain. Soon with your help there will be many..! news.cals.vt.edu/innovations/2013/07/cloudy-with-a-chance-of-microbes/ Rain forms with holistic Land Management. And methane from chattel manure causes microbes to cell dividing spawning into air and the clouds and refrigerate freezing those clouds causing rain.., kzbin.info/www/bejne/onqzkqFjp6qEgKM Who stopped the rain??? You did you damn liberal Democrat European globlast. We need another song Margery. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6TQnYOigdJ2abc Thanks Allan Savory, and Savory INSTITUTE, AND GOD MY FATHER "I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW" kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmWZl51vlKmWp9E The human tongue equates to- (antibacterial mouth wash kills them 8:04? ) -a plant's roots, so it would stand to reason the nitrate circuit of lymph fluids would flow through the tong. Microbes ingest methane to cell divide, in cell dividing the microbes DNA shape shift to the RF frequency of the human or plant to feed them. Thanks for helping complete my education of the Tong's essential use of microbes that produce nitrous nitrous oxide. The DNA shift in microbial life after cell division after ingestion of methane, also takes nitrogen from the air before DNA shape shifting to the RF frequency of a human/or animal /or the frequency of a plant and the whole thing happens in water and is called GENESIS CREATION. SO this entire process was initiated by METHANE. And that is the greatest discovery in botany in 5000 years..! kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJrWYpqsn92gprM CATTEL horn for manure fertilizer . It preserves the msnewer for later use with CATTLE urn in a slurry sprayed over crops .. IT MAKES RAIN PEOPLE LIKE THE ABOVE STATEMENT. quantumagriculture.com/

Cows are moved at walking speed from one paddock to the next. Would it be possible to move sheep without the wild-eyed flying speed, dog-driven?
@marenomorgan
@marenomorgan 2 жыл бұрын
I am not an expert, but having been there, moving hundreds of sheep there is a lot of chaos and the hive mind of the sheep requires speed to manage. For example the sheep may get distracted by a piece of grass that is on the way to the paddock, and it will cause other sheep to stop as well and disrupt the flow of the flock. So it’s really important to move quickly when herding them so as to not lose them in the process, especially when there is only a handful of dogs and people to contain the path for the flock. Also, the sheep seem to set the pace, so it's more about us keeping up with them!
