Very cool - I in my younger years did something terrible. I took apart an old spring reverb unit. And have long since lost the case and supporting electronics. But I still have the physical spring. But alas, one of the coils was over driven during the experimenting and it now sits in a box waiting for a purpose. This video gives me an idea to try and maybe revive the spring and give it new life as a synth module...
@OsirsVictorySkywell9 ай бұрын
sounds like a great idea, too bad for the lost parts. just a project lost in time
@pontram9 ай бұрын
Reverb springs are still available brand new in many sizes. They are practically the same as 40 years ago. And they are not very expensive. Some have rca input(s), and you need only a line or headphone level signal and a small preamp (mic input on the mixer) for the reverb output. You won't get a reverb cheaper than with such a spring tank, and it has a very distinct sound. Playing with the springs themselves is very explorative and fun.

@niggy1kanobi1 sounds great, I hope it goes better for them than the parametric mid on the Met Zone, never was a control set more misunderstood.
