Original rear bumper for that year model, Richard. Toyota changed to the tailgate in late ‘84 (from memory). No decal for a 5 speed, either. The grey rims look good. That car would’ve come out with chrome rims being a G badge. The standards (rear barn door style), had grey split rims.

This is a beauty. I had an 83 FJ60 with the 2F engine and 4 speed. I still miss that truck. I sold it when I left the states. Now drive a 2009 76 Series. The lines of the body are so similar.

Stock rear bumper, stock number plate location. 5 speed came out in late 1982. Check out the hj60 website, all the info there.

Nice car Richard, the rear bar is original to that car looks funny you would think that number plate should be on the tail gate but there is no number plate lights in that tail gate.

Thanks Richard, I enjoy the 60 series but it always seems not quite there. It's not agricultural and bare bones like 40 series and not refined, luxurious and still capable like the 80 series, it seems to try to do both, be agricultural and be luxurious, but fails to do either thing well. But..... That's the beauty of Landcruisers, there's one for every taste! My taste is a 40 Troopy! But saying all of that...... I do appreciate an unadulterated, well cared for stock Landcruiser of any age and series. Thanks again, Richard. 👍✊✌

The 60 series plays in its own league. Very different from all Cruisers before and after it. The very first Land Cruiser (Toyota "Jeep" BJ ) down to the FJ55 (including the 70 series) can all be grouped together, at least as far as the looks are concerned, the 80, the 100 series, and the 200 series before the facelift can be grouped together, the 100 series is just a bigger 80 series, so is the 200 series before the facelift. The 200 series after the facelift and the latest 300 series can be grouped together as well. But the 60 series looks like no other cruiser before or after it. It has more personality than any cruiser :). It was the first time Toyota dared and succeeded to do something different from its predecessor design-wise and even innovation-wise. The 60 gave them bold confidence for further audacity in later models. Love for the 60! :)
