FJYC - The Big Dig Member Clean-up - Catalina Storm Damage 2023 - Fourth of July Yacht Club

The winter storms of 2023 brought consecutive atmospheric rivers to California. With record rainfall and winds, the facility at Fourth of July Yacht Club on Catalina Island were badly damaged. The FJYC Member banded together to dig out the mud, repair the roof that had blown off, and restore the club to Bristol condition. And FJYC was not alone. The damage to the other coves like Cherry Cove, the Boy Scout Camp at Camp Cherry Valley and the washed out roads that support the west end of the Island.
