I got a beagle couple years ago she was a rescue. She came with the name Trudy and I'm thinking no way is she going to be Trudy. In the background on the radio Rod comes on with Maggie May-- And that settled that.

Me too. I like most of his songs, almost all, and it was so nice the 80's ( I know he started in 70's) but the 80's are the top still are...and this singer knew how to go older very well, he really is one rare that looks super, for his age and no plastics, or not exagerated which seems to be a problem, for others. They do so many and start at such younger age, that when they reach 50 the face looks horrible instead of nice.

After my mom got diagnosed with lung cancer, I brought my gigstar karaoke machine over. She sung this song. I still have the video. She finally passed two and a half years after her diagnosis. She fought so damn hard... This video, and song I will always cherish, because I know just how many times her very ears have heard it and love it. I try to put myself in those exact moments somehow when I listen... Rip mom august 27th 1957- February 5th 2023 ❤️💜🌎🌈🙏🌙🌍

When I was pregnant with my daughter, this song always came up on the drive to work, and she would kick kick kick in the womb. When she was born, knowing then we had an hour, maybe two before she would die, we played this song to her. It’s Sophie’s song. She died of a complex heart condition in September 2020 and the line “you stole my heart and that’s what really hurts” really connects us to the song. I cry whenever this is played.

That being said at Daniel 2:1 those asleep in the dust of the earth will wake up Romans 4:17 God makes the Dead Alive acts 24:15 there is going to be a resurrection. So our almighty God has given us the scriptures to assure us of better times to come for instance Ecclesiastes 1:4 the Earth remains forever Isaiah 65:25 the lion will eat straw just like the bull. She was partly right most people think all IRISH are DRUNKS. I think IRISH are Special born with Red Hair & Freckels. Its True REDHEADS get made fun of. Grade school the girls said my Freckels were cute on my face. Not gonna lie some of my siblings liked there Alcohol. This is funny 1 Brother thought he be in more trouble in Court cause of his IRISH name. We were 70s kids Brady Bunch, Partridge Family Leave it to Beaver. I still listen to songs from those 70s Concerts. Reguardless Im still Proud of my IRISH HEARTAGE.

Graduated high school in 1972. Songs like this were part of my introduction to a world I didn’t know existed outside the 4 walls of home. I longed for more of what the world had to offer. I was so excited to experience excitement. I had a high school boyfriend but he was not that into me however when I heard rock music I realized there were other guys around besides him. I knew nothing because I’d experienced nothing. But I was eager and ready.

When this record came out I went to a record shop to buy it as a present for a friend. I came home with the album ‘Every Picture Tells A Story’ as well. I still got it.

I was in Junior High. I waited for my crush to walk out of art class and I sang this to her - badly. It worked!!! We've been together for 53 years.

"Maggie May" is more than just another song; it holds a sentimental place in my heart. The nostalgic opening guitar riff, coupled with Rod Stewart's soulful vocals, transports me back to the carefree days of my youth. The lyrics perfectly capture the unrequited love and coming-of-age experiences that many of us can relate to. This song showcases Rod Stewart's undeniable talent. The combination of his raspy yet melodic voice, the energetic guitar solos, and the infectious rhythm creates an unforgettable listening experience. The folk-inspired melodies seamlessly blend with rock elements, making "Maggie May" a true masterpiece of musical craftsmanship.

Many classic rock bands have a signature song. Maggie Mae is Rod Stewart's. The mandolin is what made this song a classic

@@Thataintnothing 👍👍 awesome voice even then, but it just got better with age. Pity the "quality" of many of his old recordings (live & studio even) were not that great, even by those days standards - compare to some of the best like Led Zep. I listen with good quality IEMs and DAC amps, so I/we can tell.

I’m still listening in 2024. We used to see Rod in 1971 & the early 70’s w Ronnie Wood, Rod and Ron had the best mullets, we called their hair fuzzy feathers. I love Maggie May, this really takes me back to my teenage years ❤❤❤❤❤❤
