That or a monthly subscription which unreasonably expensive. FL Studio is and EXTREMELY good deal. $200 for a fully very good DAW plus lifetime free updates is insanely good.

Atp FL is unmatched, I used protools and then reasons for years, a producer put me on to FL a little over a year ago, and i never looked back. Most intuitive daw ever in my opinion, especially at the price point level.

If you have only used reason and protools of course fruity is unmatched, They're the worst daws in existence. Try studio one, reaper, or logic. Bitwig is also cool.

One update I think would be great....is to not have to make everything unique if you want to alter something in a sample you've dropped in or a midi clip you've created, I could be wrong but to my knowledge, no other daw does that and it gets frustrating..!!

currently i dont think FL Cloud is worth it as Splice has a far bigger library to choose from, but maybe in a couple years when sample companies and artists upload their stuff to it itll be more worth switching from splice

I hate that image line keeps adding all these new features to FL but doesn't add what the program really needs to be the best. It's for a reason that FL keeps this unprofessional image to some people. The mixer and the playlist have a lot to them that could be better. As well as audio editing

Vidéo player should have more options and it should be easier to export a video file from FL. Mixer sends and returns should, in my opinion, be more like every other daw and we should have to use a "fruity send" plugin thats so dumb. The playlist should be in its "track mode" from the get go. When adding an instrument is should go to a new track automatically and we should be able to change volumes, panning etc in the playlist under the track name. Also, automations could be much better and an automation mode just like every other DAW should be the way to go for FL but they rather make automations a hell of a lot harder to tweak and to duplicate etc...@@bigleak

@@madd2377If FlStudio was a little more like Ableton in some aspects I would use it a lot more. Ableton has a far superior work flow, midi capture, and automation. I do dive into FLstudio when I want to experiment. Most times I will export to audio into Ableton. I like both though.

Yes yes yes and yes. I use FL studio but i don't think the distribution part is free though. You need to have original licence of FL studio or a distrokid subscription for your songs to be distributed. But im well prepared 😅❤❤

Same as any other royalty free piece of audio from anywhere else, check the licencing. Can't imagine the content ID system will pick up a single sample but I can see the problem if someone tries that without transforming the sample in any way. Wouldn't the original creator have the ID "power" for that so it can't be claimed by anyone else?

Ableton is great for live. For production it sucks balls compared to a real daw like s1, reaper or logic. Also Bitwig is the cool version of live where you can actually make your own shortcuts.

you should be able to. if you just open them in a new version, dont save, and they crash, they wont get corrupted. guess you just wouldnt be able to use them in a new version. doubt that would happen though

The funny part of this comment is FL is still a kids daw, missing all the professional audio workflow features that a pro daw has (Comping feature, playlist warped grid, ARA support etc etc) I'm talking the daws that are used in countless PRO studios around the world that record audio for all ur favourite songs.. guess what? they don't use FL Studio ever. No it's not 😂it's literally one of the worst daws for recording audio. It's one of the very last daws that doesn't have a dedicated Audio Comping feature, aswell as no playlist warped grid. These are essential if you work with audio professionally.

I have an MPC, SSL 6 with G buss compresser, UAD Luna, Logic Pro and all the top plugins, so trust when I say FL’s sound engine seems to be vastly improved especially when you set it to 48,000hz and 512 playback tracking. FL studio sounds amazing and is now the best hands down. Find or create any sound you need!
