Hello Max! Thanks for your tutorials! They are so inspiring and so helpful! I love the mood of your traks and wish I could make something that sounds similar. I do not have musical background, so for me at the moment the biggest problem is writing complex chords and melodies. You do it so fast. Do you have some tip or trick on how to write these awesome pad chord that you usually use in the tracks? How do you find the right notes? Keep posting these tutorials Max, we love them so much!

I have 1 question, can you explain your reason behind opening multiple saturn on your kicks etc? It sounds mega but I'm just curious as to why you do it? Without stating the obvious of course haha.
@norwegiantechnolover7 жыл бұрын
Btw, those Spire sounds sound amazing! Perfect for trance! Any particular soundbank used or did you make those presets yourself?
@MaxBraiman7 жыл бұрын
I just made them from scratch in this video, I have 4 volumes of spire banks over at freshly squeezed samples if you want to check those out.
@norwegiantechnolover7 жыл бұрын
Nice! May just do that!

Hello! what is your opinion about producing using headphones? I have got Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO and monitors Fostex PM1mk2 but my room is bad for monitoring. That is why I use headphones for production. Do you think you can achieve same results on mix and master using headphones instead of monitors?
@MaxBraiman7 жыл бұрын
I use AKG K701, I only mix on headphones and maybe will use my krk rokit 8's for extra reference. Mixing on headphones is very easy, download voxengo SPAN and use a good reference mp3, EQ and match your mix at the same level. Soloing the low band on the master helps for mixing lows. You dont need expensive equipment to mix, just train your ears and listen, focus on the sounds.

Workflow is amazing. How long does it typically take to make a track?
@MaxBraiman7 жыл бұрын
Depends my mood. Can be 1 Hour or 12 hours without interruption. I prefer not to work on projects for over 1 day, I will start a new one : )

Hey bro can You explain why You put so many fabfilter saturns on channels?
@endryxx7 жыл бұрын
Max, you must return to produce trance tracks..... your talent is too big for only tutorial line..... come on Max!!!!!!
@mendband7 жыл бұрын
I noticed there isn't a limiter on the master channel - do you find this gives you better control and a tighter mix in the end without using the limiter as a crutch?
@MaxBraiman7 жыл бұрын
Not really. I prefer to master the project as I go along with it, I just like the way it ends up shaping the sound - although youll notice once you take off the plugins it will probably sound like ass, so you will want to keep them on when you render the unmastered WAV for a label, just take the limiter off.
@UndergroundMusicMS7 жыл бұрын
are you not doing mastering?? some producer not put any plug in on that master mixer..

Max, I have some question about making sound pack. Can you help me? Can you give me your mail?
@marksamuel93827 жыл бұрын
Max how did you come to learn sound design and all these tricks you use in your tracks - has it all just been trial and error or have you studied anything?
@MaxBraiman7 жыл бұрын
Mostly trial and error, a ton of practice and trying to reverse engineering sounds. Studied anything in terms of school? Nothing at all, I dont even know music theory lol. Watching other people produce is probably the best resource you can have, dont limit yourself to a single genre because there are applications of one that can benefit another greatly.
@marksamuel93827 жыл бұрын
That's some good advice and thanks. I suppose ultimately it comes down to hard work. Your tutorials have helped me a lot and I'm grateful for that. I've spent hours studying your templates I've purchased lol

why you put 4 saturns on channels?
@MaxBraiman7 жыл бұрын
trying to create analog saturation, its called phase distortion. You can add more to increase the effect
@heavyrush76357 жыл бұрын
+Max Braiman do you tweak some parameters on it, or leave it stock?
@MaxBraiman7 жыл бұрын
just leave it but make sure the volume coming in to the first Saturn is not loud (to avoid clipping), turn up the volume in the mixer or by placing a volume plugin after the saturns
@norwegiantechnolover7 жыл бұрын
Max Braiman How did you connect the Inserts to that Saturn-Insert? Did you right-click and choos "route to this track only" for each individual sound? Gonna try this out myself! 👍🏻
