Did you remove the dashboard and take it out? you made the coating outside and put back the dashboard right? If you made a video shot while the leather was covered with the console, would you load it?

No I didn't. Artificial leather covering was done in situ (with dashboard in place). Sorry i couldn't make video of the covering process, got my hands filled. Took me the whole day. With more experience now, I'm sure I can do it much faster. I hope this helps. Feel free to revert anytime.

You don’t actually explain how you restored it?

Yeah, you are right. So I got the top black layer of the dash peeled off meticulously using the plastic trim tool, as this layer would not allow for proper bonding. This exposed a sort of pale greenish material underneath which worked perfectly to allow for bonding of the artificial leather to the dash. By the way I used evo-stick glue, but I reckon most commercial glue will do. Let me know if this answers your question. Also feel free to revert with more questions if required.
